    The very best.
4 final fours and two national titles games since the last time KSU won an NCAA tournament game.

If a ku fan were to smartly bring this up to me in a "smack off" how would I reply? I'm pretty stumped.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

I don't think you can respond.  They've been good and we haven't.  They've had all americans and we struggle to get 1st team Big 8/12 players.  It sucks how absolutely terrible our basketball program became.

PM this to your man-crush Hatter, I'm sure he's got something.
I'm telling you, this is not ANYTHING like the team from the beginning of conference play. You will see no more blowouts like what happened in OOC.  If we lose, it will not because these kids gave up, and it will be at the buzzer. -Rodless, before 97-70

Both championship games were results of cheating.  (Documented)

I usually go with the "ksu/ku were even before that, but you guys went and hired the greatest coach in college basketball history and we concentrated on football and accomplished things in football that you'll probaly never do but now we've decided to be good in basketball again and now we have grcoat and we also have 59-55 and huggins"

Just throw out a Bucknell or Bradley and steer the argument in a new direction.

Football is probably your best response. But I don't know how much traction you'll get when someone points out the broader K-State and ku football programs. Yeeesh.

They will like the NFL (probably the Colts or Cowboys, sometimes Chiefs), but say they don't care for college football.  Or they aren't ku football fans, probably NU or KSU football fans.

That's so f-ing cowardly.

Regardless, let's simply concentrate on basketball and not try to change it to football.

Keep thinking. As of now, all I've really got is that link to youtube of 59-55.

It just depends on the fan.  Right now we are seeing tons of casual fairweather fans. They don't know about 59-55, "deadbeat daddy" or probation.  All they really know is "Man, i've got ku going all the way in my bracket!!"  Best just to ignore them and save the good stuff for the real fans.

^^^^You can't argue with their success. This immediately changes the subject to "CUSA is weak".

You can then change the subject to, "Well, Huggs should recruit better in a stronger conference, then."  By then no one cares about silly little final fours.

UNC winning a 2nd title would greatly help the "you had the greatest coach in college basketball history and all you have to show for it is a bunch of wins over tom asbury" argument.
