We actually eliminated KSU from all consideration the day Bob Huggins was hired, on the advice of our Senior Selection Committee advisor, Rick Reilly. He said Huggins was a lousy Coach, and we can't have that in our Tournament, we'd rather have Bob Knight for ratings purposes.
In spite of the fact that it appears Texas Tech finished 5th in the League, they actually finished 4th, with a worser record. In the Big 12 Conference Tournament, Coach Knight's MEN were just a little tired from beating up on mighty Colorado, so we dispatched your 21 point asswhipping as though it never happened. Those 5 straight losses by Texas Tech in Conference were judged by the Committee to be faulty unreported scorekeeping, and therefore invalidated. TT's loss to Nebraska was a better loss than your loss to Nebraska.
Thank you for your email. I didn't realize that Kansas State was in Kansas, as all along I thought Manhattan was in New York.
