Creighton is a small private Jesuit school, with no need for a football team. They compete in basketball, baseball, etc. however, and do pretty well.

But I really thought we could have made the sweet 16. With the way this team played on neutral floors all season, I have no doubt we could have had a solid chance to beat a 6/3 or a 5/4.

Didn't the guy on CBS say that like 104 teams had 20 or more wins this year? It gets harder to make the tournament every year. Crazy that 7 teams from the ACC got in...isn't that half or more of the conference?

Still not quite sure why people seem to think K-State getting in was a sure thing. From the way it sounds, you guys were a bubble team, but not even on the top of the bubble list.

Most of the people in Omaha are Creighton basketball fans, and Nebraska football fans, because Creighton is located in Omaha, but does not have a football team, and Nebraska has the only Div. I football team in the state.

If you have trouble figuring that out, it's no wonder you're still befuddled by a mediocre K-State team being left out of the tourney.

I'm sure you were one of the 1,000 fans who regularly attended Creighton games in the years leading up to the hiring of Altman.
