Basketball in it's purest form is found in the small-class State tournaments.  You haven't seen anything until you've seen the western half of Nemaha county drive out to Hays to cheer for either Baileyville or Centralia (or both).  The 1A-3A tournaments are the most exciting sporting events in the state, IMO.

FYI we play Wichita Collegian in the State Finals at 6:15 tonight.

We have a standout player, Corbin kuntzsch. He is definitely worth watching.

Baileyville and Centralia have a combined population of about 20 people.

I'm telling you, this is not ANYTHING like the team from the beginning of conference play. You will see no more blowouts like what happened in OOC.  If we lose, it will not because these kids gave up, and it will be at the buzzer. -Rodless, before 97-70

Thank the heavens that we didn't get Tyrel Reed.  I watched him play his first round game and he was 2-12 on 3's.  He didn't get in anybody's shorts on D though he is the most athletically talented player on the floor.  Who wants a SG who can't shoot and doesn't play D?

It's Kansas Class 3A basketball.  If he's that damn good, he should carry his team to a state championship with ease.  Burlington's whiffed the past two years.

Hell I could get 31 points if I shot the ball every time down.

    Hey, basketball!!!
Tyrell Reed is a ball hog who shoots about 50 times a game.....31 points is nothing is basically nothing when you're the only one shooting....

Thank goodness we didn't get Tyrell.....we didn't need a ball hog who takes shots away from the likes of Beasley & Walker.....players who can actually hit shots...

actually he had 35 of the teams 55 pts.......  they only lost one game up until last night and that was to Top Hayden and Reed didn't play....... he isn't the best player in the state but actually can shoot decent.......  and btw....... would never fit in Huggs program.....

Agreed, because Huggs needs athletes not 150 pounds ball hogs who can't shoot.
