A win over ku tomorrow and a first round exit from the big dance?

Or a loss to ku tomorrow and a Sweet 16 appearance?

That's a tough one for me, but I would have to say the win over ku.

Are you f*cking serious? You sound like a damn MU fan...."we don't care about the other games so long as we beat ku". Sweet 16, no contest. Anyone who says different gd fool!

OK, then how about if you throw in the Big 12 tournament championship on top of the ku win?  I would definitely rather have that.  K-State hasn't won the tournament since 1980.  I admit my views on ku are tainted.   ;)

You definately get more national pub playing in the sweet 16. Everyone watches the ncaa tournament, only us geeks watch the conference tourneys.

sweet 16 hands down.

beating ku today would be a double edged sword.

when was the last time they lost a game?  A&M?  if they win the big 12 tourney there is no way they win another 6 games in the tourney on top of that.  If they go down in the big 12 tourney we need to prepare ourselves to watch ku win a national title.

    THE b IS NOT CAPITALIZED
You'd rather end the season with a 33% win rate against ku, who loses essentially nothing if they lose today, than win a few in the big dance?

Okay.
I'm telling you, this is not ANYTHING like the team from the beginning of conference play. You will see no more blowouts like what happened in OOC.  If we lose, it will not because these kids gave up, and it will be at the buzzer. -Rodless, before 97-70

Wins over ku and (presumably) Texas to win the Big 12 would be the equivalent of beating a 1 seed and a 3 seed.  The teams we would have to beat in the NCAA tournament to get to the Sweet 16 wouldn't be that high, so from that standpoint, the Big 12 wins would be bigger.  Plus you would get the satisfaction of sticking it to your rivals and take home a championship.  No question that would be better in my mind.  Nobody agrees?

No one is going to remember that Ksu beat ku and Texas in the Big 12 tourney. Atleast if you made it to the sweet 16 than some people out there would have to write 'Kstate' down on their bracket advancement slots and be forced to realize that you exist in the world of mens basketball.

More great words of wisdom coming from Goldbrick.  How could anyone possibly debate this?  I give up!
