Pullen is averaging more turnovers than assists..In high school.

He's going to be amazing and all, but those who are going psycho over Stew because of his turnover/assist ratio, Pullen's isn't great either.  You can't expect it to get better as a freshman in the Big XII, either.

Pullen is still going to be awesome.  But you can't expect him to be a Big XII worthy PG in his freshman year.  Stew will be our main guy next year.

FWIW, Stew moved into the Top 10 in assists per game and Top 11 in A-TO ratio after saturday's game*.  :)

*league games only.

Where did you find that stat?

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

A premium post on GPC.  There was no link, sorry.  Just the fact that he was averaging more turnovers than assists.

You can't be racist and like basketball.
I blame GP for the hate Pullen will receive next year.  They've convinced the 'Tards that Pullen has a legitimate shot of Mr. Basketball in Illinois when it's ridiculous to suggest anyone but Derrick Rose wins it.

Pullen will be considered a "disappointment" by many, and I don't think it's unreasonable to egg D. Scott. Fritchen's car for creating this silly hype monster.

I guess I missed it.

I've been called an idiot plenty of times for supporting Stew.  I think high end Pullen and Brown's impact will be about like Young and Maybank's was this year.  Not saying that is the player those guys will become, just their impact next season.  Give these kids a chance to play some minutes and learn.  I've said all along Stew is not (nor ever will be) a flashy PG or an all-league PG.  But with good parts around him he is an effective player.  I think he'll be asked to score a bit more next year, but he's going to be a fine player as a SR.  I just don't see a couple 3* players unseating a 70+ game starter.

I agree Rusty, Pullen has a good shot to be next year's Bennett.

I think they will both be very good by their junior years.  Pullen has all the tools to be a great scoring point guard.

I think Pullen is going to make Augustin look like a mongoloid.

I agree 100%.

What's crazy is a lot of the tards think that Huggins will have 'missed' on Pullen and Brown if Stewart is our starting PG next year.

Uh, hello?  Two 3 star freshman point guards failing to unseat a senior PG makes them a miss?

Crazy talk.  It does rival the "Jason Bennet will average a double double next year" talk that certain tards were saying this time last year.

Clent was also ranked higher out of high school.

I agree with that.  I meant that he could be next year's Bennett in the amount of criticism the kid will take for not living up to expectations.  I anticipate his impact being greater than Bennett's overall.

I expect both Pullen and Brown to be solid players as JRs, maybe even as SOs.

you would think having had to watch colon all year would cure the powertardy "lol!  you think a 3* huggins recruit is comparable to a 3* wooly recruit? lol!" crowd.

but there are still a few.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

3* in the spring<<<<<<3* in the fall

yes, absolutely.  i have no trouble believing brown and pullen will be better their freshmen year than colon was.

I read an article on GPC that Pullen was ave 22 pts 8 asts this season.   IF that is true, i have a hard time believing he has more TOs than assists.  I read that article about a week and a half ago.

Such a challenge doesn't faze the 6-foot Pullen, who is averaging 22 points, five assists and three steals this season.

It was a premium post.  I'll see if I can find it.  I remember it specifically, because ballplayers had posted in the thread.

Edit: Not the post I found it in, but one with mention of it.
