on the Brigade...

Quote
Amidst all of the roster changes, the Brigade hit the waiver wire to sign fullback Joe Hall (6-1, 280, Kansas State), who opened camp with the New Orleans VooDoo. An Arena Football rookie, he joins Michael Bishop and Kenny McEntyre as former Wildcats on the roster. Hall played for Bill Snyder in 2001-02, alongside Ell Roberson, Josh Scobey, Aaron Lockett, Ben Leber and Joe Rheem. He spent the previous five seasons in NFL training camps, including the Chiefs in 2004 and 2005.

Hall is one of the largest wastes of talent ever. I do understand he's a wonderfully nice person *obligatory*

I can't believe Kenny McEntyre is still playing.  I remember watching him play in the Copper Bowl and playing hoops for the Cats.

Joe Hall was really good at putting quarters in the parking meter for the professor in one of my classes.  Can't remember what class it was though.  Just remember he would leave in the middle of class, get a few quarters from the professor, and stick them in the meter.

How many letter grades do you think that got him!?   :D

KK and I used to have a few FB Player in our Geology class and the Dept. Head (Mary Hubbard) absolutely loved them.  The baseball players on the other hand she didn't care much for.  We had a fun little athletic dichotomy in that class. Of course KK would never go b/c he was too busy sleeping.

Didn't Joe Hall take a few seasons off?  Something like on the team 2 years.  off 2 years, then back on for 2 years.

He played in 99, sat out 00, and played some in 01.

I'll never forget the 70-80 yard run Hall had when he ran out of gas about the 10.  Long run for a guy that big.

why didn't snyder just run every play in that 2001 game?
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

    The "other" KSU
Agreed 100%, HUGE waste of talent - I didn't understand what the problem was... I heard it was errogance. (thought he was above the homework etc.) I remember reading in the campus forum, someone suggested that there be a Building named after him... just called Joe Hall. I thought that was cute.

Whoops, I have to retract my statement about Joe Hall and the parking meters.  Turns out I actually meant Ryan Young.  I knew Joe Hall couldn't have been there pre 98.

    IT'S DIVISION ONE FOOTBALL!!!
Had great speed/agility for a guy his size.  Could have been a damn good player had he put in the effort.

The guy hated contact.  I remember a bunch of times when Snyder would get all over him for not running a guy over and just getting the extra couple of yards that a guy his size, moving at the speed he did, would inevitably get.

Seeing him in the same backfield as Darren Sproles was one of the coolest things of all time though.  It was hard to imagine those two guys could possibly play the same postition.
