It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

I'm thinking more in terms of the recruits we have coming in for next year (including two top 8 guys  )

We need shooters on next years team, and "yae" is one of the big 12's best.

I'm glad we get one of those guys back, but Cartier would be a better compliment to Walker and Beasley.  Hopefully Hoskins can develop his outside shot a little more in the offseason.

I would probably lean towards "'ier".

Because of the shooting like you guys said.  No one incoming will match his combination of length and 3 point shooting ability.

Cartier is awesome.  I love him.

But Dave is better for our team.  The fact that he averages a double double, while Cartier is horribly inconistant.  Dave draws double teams.  Cartier doesn't.  Dave picks up rebounds and is as physical as you can get.  Not a whole lot of people can finish like Dave.  He constantly gets to the line and has an amazing FT%.

I have a mancrush on both.  But I think Dave is better for our team.  Especially next years team.

hopefully we have evans for next year.  if so, our shooting should be ok.

Hoskins should work on his ball handling and his outside shot for next season. If he does, we could play him at the 2 and that would allow us to have beasley, walker, and bennett/colon in.

True and we don't really have any shooters coming back who've proven that they can get it done at the Big XII level so logically Cartier should be the guy.  But I just can't escape the idea that Dave's *really* going to be a banger following another year in Greenwalt's program and another year under Hugs guidance, I really want to see how Dave develops.

I see us finding a way to have Hoskins, Beasley, and Walker all on the court at once.  It will be either at the expense of Bennon or maybe not having a shooting guard on the court.  (Mike and Bill both have a pretty good outside shot too, so I don't think it hurts too much.)

I haven't really followed them, but is either Brown or Pullen a good outside shooter?

Can I wait until Tyree Evans' recruitment is done to answer this question?  If Tyree is at KSU, then I'd probably rather have it as it is, if not, then Cartier as a Junior.

Id rather have Hoskins. Hes the better rebounder, more physical and has some post moves. Right now hes the only guy that can score underneath, and next year could be one of only 2 guys with Beasley the other. Hoskins would be a great complimentar player because of his great passing skills, and will be very effective not being the focus of attention. Hes going to get a ton of cleanup points next year. They are both about equal shooters from within 12 feet as well. I dont see SG and SF as a major need for next year.

Dave averages a double-double?  Not even close.

Dave also plays zero defense.  I like him too, but let's not get ahead of ourselves he has his fatal flaws like everyone else on the team.  As for his outside shooting improving...It would be nice, but let's not hold our breath.  He shoots 21% from 3.

Really?  Sorry.  I took "Stan Weber facts" as actual facts.  (He said Hoskins averages a double double)

My mistake.

Conference point totals in order: 11, 23, 18, 13, 22, 11, 25, 13, 13, 13, 8, 20
Conference rebounds in order:    6, 6, 6, 7, 11, 3, 6, 9, 3, 9, 7, 4

Maybe Stan thought a double double was averaging double digit points and minutes?

Dave has two double-doubles.  One against Iowa St. and one against Chi St.

No hope for Thornton ?

Cartier's 3's will be missed but not his lack of quickness or size to play PF.

jarr pointed it out pretty well.

if we didn't have hoskins next year, beasley would be the only threat to score inside.
