f course, there's not really a lot going on in that state. No pro sports, one BCS school, and it's winter so the poor farmboys can't husk their corn..or whatever it is they do.
First I think you meant Division I school, and not BCS school. Since you root for a football program unqualified to be either, it's a natural mistake.
I hope you're not seriously trying to sell the excitement factor in Manhattan by what happens in actual cities like Kansas City, which is more than 100 miles away, 102 miles to be exact. For purpose of comparison, Lincoln, Nebraska is only 158 miles away.

There is a lot more to do in Lincoln, and even more in Omaha, than in manhattan, kansas, where the highlight of the town is probably the one trailer with indoor plumbing. Lincoln has more than four times the population of Manhattan. Omaha has more than 12 times the population of Manhattan.
Now even with a K-State education you should understand basic logic well enough to be able to guess that there's more to do in Lincoln and Omaha than in the purple colored trailer park that you reside in.
