Yep. It's another one of my "BFD" threads.
A week ago, if you'd have asked me, I would have been ecstatic that we took one at Texas or at ku. And I'd have rather had at Texas, because of what the conference standings are likely to wind up being.
I don't like losing to the squawks. Especially by 20+. But, really. Off their first loss to a south team at AFH? With the talent they have? And Rush finally making all kinds of shots?
Looking at the teams in this conference, there's no way we should finish any higher than 3rd, in anyone's wildest imagination. I'm not saying we should settle. I'm just saying for the sake of realistic expectations... come ON! We were picked 5th in the conference. We have a very real chance to finish 3rd or 4th. So we got blown out at the #8 team in the country. BFD. Congratulations to ku for finally encountering an opponent they deemed worthy to show up for. Glad that we're worthy.
We had a nice streak. We have a shot at another nice streak. I think Huggs is going to get it out of these guys. We're going to be looking at 9-3 and another shot at ku.
Tonight wasn't the greatest night to be a KSU fan. But I like our position a lot better than coming off a home stomping by UNL.
