Looks like they are struggling despite a top 10 team.

I actually think we under-report our attendance.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

You can't be racist and like basketball.
It's cause Huggs gets a bonus if we "sell out" the season or something.

ADTW is trying to save $25k.  Smart move by "Thrifty Tim".

I I just find it slightly humorous that pretty much every school (Tech, Texas, OSU, OU, Mizzou..etc) struggle with attendance despite pretty good teams.

Only ku and ISU do good jobs. We are getting there.

:)

aTm sold 3800 season tickets this year (a whopping 400 more than last year), though that doesn't include students like ours does.  They set aside 4200 student seats, so that means 8K season tickets if they counted like ours for a 12500 seat arena.

This recent article talks about the "hot ticket" for Reed Arena.: http://www.statesman.com/sports/content/sports/stories/other/01/26/26aggies.html

I hope Gillepsie leaves. This conference needs to get weaker.

Basketball just isn't a big deal in Texas.  There's a thread on hornfans about how the people at the Erwin center only expected 1000 students for the Saturday afternoon game against Baylor.  I guess more than that showed up and caused some problems (hot dogs anyone?), but not a lot more than that.

That really is pretty pathetic...and another reason I can't stand to see that team win.

Hell, We sold more than that over the last 15 seasons.
