Grew up in the Meriden community. Really smart kid, with a strong drive. Will be the Watts of K-State basketball if given a chance.

someone on powertard deduced that martin was recruiting this guy on monday.  it seems a decent guess (bp supplied that he was in OK), and it would be nice to have a shooter with size.

Doesn't fit who we need to be recruiting, though.

This thread is about Tom "Don't Call me" Shirley, though.  Nice hijack, sys.

i should have supplied more specifics.  bp actually said martin was at a jc in ok.

i considered the thread to be a general recruiting thread, starting with shirley and going from there.

Doke should have asked him if he knows about jets.

Officiated a game of Tom Shirley's when he was a freshman, but haven't seen him in the past couple of years.  He obviously dominated the game at that level due to his size advantage.  He moved well for his size and age.  He was a good kid for that game too, so there goes the MCMW.

Doesn't fit who we need to be recruiting, though.

On the radio show last night Hill said they ARE looking for a shooter.  Someone who can stretch the defense so opponents won't pack it in.  Not sure if this guy can shoot but it looks like he can score from the shooting guard position.  No offers listed but wants to visit OU, KSU, OSU, WSU & Illini.
