I should have copywrighted the damn phrase when I had the chance.
You'd be surprised how many oblivious K-state fans there are out there that don't realize Huggieville was originally coined as kind of a mean joke meant towards Huggins when his name popped up as a cantidate to replace Woolly.(Pre big XII tourney last year, when he was still employed but it was pretty obvious his ass was as good as fired.)
I think it went something like this:
Annoying ku fan: "What worthless nobody do you guys want as your new coach? You won't be able to do better than Woolly"
(After a few other random KSU posts about the current UNLV coach(that KSU traitor guy), Turgeon, Anderson, and McDermott)
Me: "Huggins."
Annoying ku fan: "You'd never be able to get Huggins. There's no reason for a coach that good to come to Manhattan."
Me: "Then we'll have to rename Aggieville as Huggieville. How can a drunk like Huggins resist the best strip of bars in the entire state being named after him?"
Rest of post: "LOL!"
Obviously, when I said that, I thought "No chance in hell do we get Bob Huggins. Too many old people would object, and it'd be hard to get him to come to Manhattan."
Two months later, this time on GPC.
Gay GTM sportswear people:
"HI! GTM sportswear is holding a contest for the design of a new T-shirt! We'll decide on all ideas submitted afterwards and make the winning T-shirt!"
Me: "Welcome to Huggieville!" (Still meant as a play on Huggins having a drinking problem. Noone at GPC picks up on this.)
(lots of other submissions, some more plays off of Huggieville, more completely clueless GPC members.)
Gay GTM sportswear people: "We're going to go with the Huggieville one. Thanks guys!"
...They never even gave me a free t-shirt.

Not that I care about the money or the saying, it's awesome that it caught on. But I should have at least gotten the t-shirt or recognition or something.
There's a lot of people that don't even believe me.
