I'm sick and tired of those frack heads.  Our team is very close to them talent wise, yet we cannot get over that hump.

I know the players don't feel the hatred toward the uk entitlement crowd that I do.  Hell they aren't from Kansas and didn't grow up among the "Biff and Babs" country club pricks making a living spending Grandpa's $$$$.

We need a player or two that despises uk so much as to do anything to get the win.  Don't get me wrong, the Cats played hard and did not back down but when someone needed to step up, it didn't happen.

Christ I hope Lew Perkins dies in a Cuban Mob hit.

Next year, we'll have the big post presence and the point guard with four years of entitlement.
ku will have some talent around. How much prolly depends on how they do in the post season. Henry is gone no matter what. Cole if he has a brain large enough to span the gap on his meth mouth will be gone. The good Morris will prolly leave if they have a good run in the tournament.
That'll leave them with so-so Morris, trob (hahahahaha), withey up front. We have them outmanned there.
Backcourt would be Taylor, if he doesn't transfer, Morningstar, Reid, the freshman no-show from Las Vegas, if he doesn't transfer.
Don't follow their recruiting. I don't think as yet they've signed an impact player. In on some five stars, prolly waiting to see who goes pro or leaves or is asked to leave the program.
In short, we'll own them.

It's hard not to feel that way seeing as how they've pwned us in BB since '88.

Both of the Morris twins will be back, and they are both good.

Right now, we don't have any available scholarships, but when Henry and Aldrich go pro that will open up a couple. We are considered the favorite right now to land Selby, who is a top 10 recruit.

What the hell is wrong with this message board? Buggiest thing ever.

ku will lose Collins and Cole.  That's it.  Henry will return because that's just the way things break for ku.  They'll also add about 20 more McD AAs to the roster.

But I'm getting a little too technical here.  Basically, the ghost of James Naismith is going to take a look at how the Cats are doing next year and then magically make ku just a little bit better.

Whatever.  Hopefully, by the time we reach the Final Four, some far-inferior opponent, like Okie State, has managed to knock off ku.

Clemente will be a HUGE loss for K-State.  The guy just hits big shot after big shot, bailing K-State out when the offense is absolutely stagnant.  You guys completely under-estimate his value to the team.

I do agree on the huge loss part but more for the speed and pressure he creates on fast breaks.  Clemente can shoot KSU back into a game and right out of it also with some rediculous bad decisions.

K-State will miss Clemente next year, but I'll take Pullen and the leadership he began showing this weekend.  The big factor in the backcourt is whether McGruder or Irving step up.

uofk will be struggling for a serviceable 5 and a wing that can shoot from 18'+.  There's a reason TRob (blocked twice) + Whitey (TO in 5 sec) have played a combined 1 minute in 3 games.

MI + NR will need to fill DC's shoes at pg (better on D, but slower on O).  KSU will dominate the 3-5 spots with JS, CK, FA, WJ, DS, JHR -- JamSam will be picking up DC's pts.

Next yr's games will come down to MM foul trouble.

If the coaches can pack some muscle on our bigs and instill a "killer" attitude, I think we'll be able to play with anybody, again. Frank Martin says Freddy's a good rebounder and passer... and he's already strong.

Now the coaches need to teach the bigs to take it to the basket with authority and ram it home. ANY shot within 5 feet should ALWAYS be a slam dunk. And I mean the kind that breaks the defender's arm or wrist should he attempt to block it. All too often Lou and Curtis go up to kinda lay it over the rim or bounce it off the backboard... and all too often they are stopped or get it blocked.

NO MORE! Man, if you're over 6'8", every "layup" should be a slam dunk!

Perhaps our biggest problem will be replacing Denis' fire in bringing the ball up the court. We need Martavius, Nick or Will to race that thing up the court and "attack" the other team. No, they won't be Denis (who is?), but it's all about the attitude. We seem to be at our best when we're on the attack -- offense OR defense. It's all about attitude and strength. :skillz:

KSUfans.com will become the #1 Kstate sports BBS!
I wouldn't be surprised to see Spradling surpass Nick Russel, if Frank can get him to buy in early, then expect him to get some key playing time as a freshman. I honestly believe he will be the best option to take up the lose of DC.

'gruds has proven, with the time he gets, that he can step up. mr. freethrow, mr. and one.

irving couldnt hit the ocean if he shot a ball the size of the moon into it from a foot away.

I think Irving has a pretty good shot actually. When he gets more opportunities next year he'll start knocking them down.
