I'm wondering if any of our recent success has opened the door to any new prospects? With all the current excitement I haven't heard or seen much on potential recruits. :kstatriot:

Not trying to put a damper on things here but you do realize that Frank, or any other college coach for that matter, is prohibited from making references to specific recruits? Can only comment on players who have signed LOI.

That being said, I too am somewhat perplexed with the seeming lack of prospects showing up for us in the '11 and '12 classes.

wait 'till after the season. recruits aren't going to all hop on after a couple great months of basketball. it takes a little time for the top players to open their options beyond the traditional powers to include up and coming programs. after KSU makes an elite eight/final four run we should start seeing some interest over the summer.

Perplexed? You really should not be confused as to why top talent doesn't want to play for K-state.

Yeah, we're only a top 5 team riding a 7 game winning streak and we're only losing 1 major contributor off this year's team. If we're not a legit national title contender this year, we will absolutely be next year.

On the other hand, it is very clear to me why top talent doesn't want to play for Hairpiece.

Yeah but no one wants to play for KSU. If anyone wants to come to the state of Kansas, they'd rather go play for a real winner to the east. And Im not going to watch that and rather just assume that it's that stupid video one of you nuts made. Haha little brother, always making futile attempts to look good.

Nobody wants to play for KSU? Mike Beasley, Bill Walker, Wally Judge, Rodney McGruder. All Top 100 recruits who have played at KSU within the past 5 years.

Ignoring the video does nothing to diminish the fact that Self has done a horrible job of developing NBA talent. I know that goes over real well with profile recruits.

You can continue to keep your head stuck up your ass like most uninformed ku d-bags or you can open your eyes and see that KSU is a legitimate program on the rise and will be a formidable rival to ku for years to come.

Obviously K-State is good. On the rise, yes. A formidible rival for years to come...well we'll see. And by saying that he's done "a bad job developing NBA talent", you're assuming that all great high schoolers will eventually be great in NBA. No. Besides, by winning a NC, he got a couple players to the draft that would've gone undrafted. I'd much rather have Self, who can win titles, then someone like say, Calipari, who can turn a school into a pro factory but never win titles and get seasons vacated.

With all that said, lighten up! I'm mostly just talking $#!* before a big game.

Talkin crap? That's exactly what I'm doing, I've never known the phrases "light hearted" and "crap talking" to be closely associated with each other.

If you still are failing to grasp Self's failures in developing NBA talent, "lighten up" and watch the damn video which does great a job of highlighting how certain players were forecasted to be NBA stars until Hairpiece got his hands on them.

Yep, that's all it is, just like the link below. Anything negative reported about ku never actually happens, it's all simply fabrications concocted by jealous KSU fans. Nothing bad ever happens at ku, squeaky clean I tell ya...

Guess I should have known the lowrents crowd couldn't resist messing up a perfectly good thread. But then I guess that's what you expect from a Jayhawk.
