It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

    One Percenter

1% women are not doormats to anyone.

How the hell would you know?

It's an automatic disqualifier.

Please leave it to us one-percenter's to decide how one-percenter's will behave.

1% women are not doormats to anyone.

How the hell would you know?
Statement A:
Are 1% men doormats to anyone? ==> NO by definition.

Statement B:
1% women only date 1% men.

Statement C:
1% women have tremendous self-confidence because part of being a 1%er is knowing you're a 1%er.

Conclusion:
1% women are confident enough to know that if they are not equals in a relationship they can easily leave and find better, thus the man they are dating must not be a 1%er (by definition that a 1%er cannot be left [even potentially] for a better man).

We can formally assert that spani is not a 1%er since he thinks his wife is (or potentially could be [and this is the critical part]) a doormat.  Therefore he also knows nothing about 1% women since only 1% men can date 1% women.

Statement B directly contradicts your conclusion, but nice try.  Let me explain.  1% women have the wherewithall to understand the enormous benefits of having a 1% man, and accordingly, they will accept certain things in order to keep said 1% man.  One of the things they will accept is a location that non-one percenter's (99-percenters) might not consider a "cool" location.  The 1% woman accepts this because she knows, when she has a 1% man, life will be pretty freaking awesome regardless of location.

I guess all of this relates back to the basic principal that 99-percenters don't get: being a one-percenter is about HOW you live not WHERE you live.

I'm sure there are some one-percenter's in KC.  The 2 or 3 decent employers in KC are probably able to attract a few one-percenters.  Obviously, one-percenters, when living in KC, will find ways to avoid the majority of Kansas Citians who are wannabe's, pulling in 50k as a "financial planner" at Edward Jones or some such.

Admirable backtrack from your original thoughts (1 percenters don't backtrack, FWIW):

gmafb.  If you knew how to please a woman, you'd know they'll go whever you tell them to when you're a one-percenter.

I guess all of this relates back to the basic principal that 99-percenters don't get: being a one-percenter is about HOW you live not WHERE you live.

The two go hand in hand.

Disappointed it took so long for the rest of fatty's socks to come in and help declare victory.  Could have been a really great thread if they had all chimed in earlier.

Keep on living your mediocre lives, guys.  As I told Rusty, I'll just have to be satisfied with my great job, good looks and hot wife.

I can't believe I haven't been mentioned in this thread at least once.  I have "a way" with women.  I have been able to successfully talk no less than 4 chicks that first slept with LSOC to later sleep with me as well.    :gocho:

I'm pretty much an authority on this topic. LOL at the losers in this thread.

I'm married now, so I'm out of "the game."  I do still consider myself a "mentor," however.

Guys, Pete lied to me.  He said that after you look up your work horse wife, you're supposed to let yourself go and eat Chipotle everyday.  Never heard about this % angle.  Pete, you have been placed on probationary status as m mentor.

Oh yeah. All of those towns suck. But every single urban area has crappy suburbs. Downtown Austin + San Marcos + Hill Country = win

San Marcos is good if you're in your early twenties.  I'll only go 50-50 on the hill country as there are some crappy places out that way too.

    One Percenter
Just testing out the new screen name, and a question for Rusty and others who have lived in multiple locations as a non-student:

What are the major differences between living in KC (or wherever you lived before becoming "michigancat") and living in Michigan?

I've lived in several places, and I must say that my life is pretty much the same wherever I've been.  I have the house I want, with the stuff I need to make me happy.  I'm past the partying stage of my life, so the nightlife really doesn't have any effect on me one way or the other.  Vacations are still vacations, and going from Beaumont to wherever is not that much different that going from any other place without an international airport to wherever, and IAH is only a 30 minute jaunt with multiple scheduled flights.

What am I missing?  As a one percenter, I definitely want to know if it is possible to make my life better without sacrificing the things that make my life as great as it already is.
