Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

Cut a GF (that's grapefruit LOL!) in half and sprinkle a bit of brown sugar on top.  Place under the broiler for about five minutes or so until the sugar caramelizes and them eat the &@#% out of dat b.

I used to eat a lot of room temperature spaghetti-Os straight out the can when I was a poor grad student. Same with  tuna.

Just ate some cold fried-sausage-potatoes this morning that I'd cooked on Sunday. Pretty great. I think part of it is when you seal it in the tupperware and let those flavors marinate for awhile. This is why hummus ages like wine (to a point at least...)

I like fruit really cold in general.  Is it supposed to be warm or cold?

Warm fruit sounds gross. Apples, Oranges, kiwis, strawberries...all supposed to be eaten cold, no? You know what's great? fresh-grilled chicken and warm pita with cold hummus. It's like a garlicky tornado party in your mouth.

pizza is not better cold.  This is laughable.

I would say warm cookies.  (they aren't supposed to be served unless they're room temperature.

A standard breakfast item in the uk is cold baked beans.  Every breakfast buffet/spread has them.

I could not get into them.

as a general rule, i pretty much like everything that should be cold a little bit warmer and everything that should be hot a little bit colder. ex- an ice cube or two in my coffee before drinking and waiting for ice cream to almost kinda start to melt before eating.

Agree on coffee needing to be only warm.  Can't stand super hot coffee.  Actually agree on the middle temp. thing rd described.  I let my soup cool down quit a bit as well.

I'm not smart enough to understand the forces behind it, but Starbucks' coffee has some sort of annoying and mystifying specific heat quality that makes it stay 185 degrees for an hour, before rapidly plummeting to just below lukewarm. You have like a 90 second window to drink it.

Best Christmas gift I've got in past three years:

If God wanted you to eat cold fruit he would have made orange trees in Canada.

Left-over pizza is better cold. Pizza fresh out of the oven is obviously the best but reheated pizza is  :yuck:

pizza fresh out of the oven that has been sitting on a counter or table for about five to ten minutes is the best. left over pizza that has been partially reheated is better than cold which is better than pizza that has been all the way reheated. hth.

Disagree. Partially reheated is only slightly better than fully reheated. Cold pizza for breakfast =  :lick:

I always reheat it on a super high setting in the oven, so that the crust is crispy and hot, the cheese is not crumbly and the sauce is still cold. Super.

^^ QFT
The toaster oven is a far superior reheating appliance than a microwave for most left overs.

this is just an imo coming into this thread but if a food is just as good or better at the opposite temp than conventional wisdom would say, does that really make that temp the right temp and therefore this whole thread is complete bullsh*t nonsense?  ya, sorry kids, that's what i thought.  damn, it hurt my abusive elbows just typing that science onto this BBS.
