Would love it.

Other defensive coaches that would be good hires that could potentially be available:
Ruffin Mcneal
Dan Mccarney

If you are USF, you are &@#%ing stupid to fire Leavitt.  But, if they want to be &@#%ing dipcraps, let's go get the &@#%er.

i want leavitt if currie promises not to hire him as the next head coach.  also, leavitt would do nothing for this staff from a recruiting stand point.

not sure what he, himself, does now.  it isn't like bob stoops is the guy who's on the road all the time.  i mean, when venables and mike stoops and mangino were here, bill snyder recruited the hell out of texas.

He's not a recruiting phenom but, come on, he's got to be a better recruiter than anyone we currently have on staff, right?  Also agree on not wanting him as our next HC.

he was our florida connection previously.  :dunno:

He was really good for us.  Can you imagine any other Snyder retread that would be better?

probably not.  I'm prolly being too harsh on Jimmy, but I was/am hoping for Dave Doeren.  IMO, Doeren would have more of a recruiting impact than Leavitt.

I would also say that considering the most likely candidates to replace OB when he dies, Leavitt would be far and away the best choice. :dunno:  Granted, I am not considering the good candidates we all would want, I am considering the ones the our admin and OB would choose to make us  :runaway: and  :chainsaw: and  :crybaby:

Leavitt recruited Darren Howard among others.  He was always a good recruiter and I'm sure he's only gained connections having been the head coach at USF as long as he has.  No question he'd be a big boost to us in recruiting.  Still don't think he's getting the ax at USF but if he does I think he would probably come work for Snyder.

So Leavitt as our DC.
Leach as our OC.
And Mangino as our Recruiting Coordinator/Director of Snacks.

Love it!

Incorrect.  We send our big gun to the NJCAA Championship game to recruit the Player of the Year.

I have this weird theory where Doeren becomes the HCIW if he comes here, but to explain it would require pie charts and advanced calculus.
