K-State can go independent and start charging big $$$$$ to be everybody's Homecoming opponent (only accept games against teams that are always on TV though).

I live in Minnesota and the big 10 is brutal and overrated.  I can't believe they even have their own network.  That's as equally as brutal as the conference itself.  Big 12 is where it's at.

Obviously they want to pluck a Big East team, since ND can't be convinced to enter the Big 10.  The Big East would be forced to merge with CUSA or try to steal a team like Houston or Memphis.  tcu probably would like to join the Big East at this point. 

No way anyone leaves the Big 12 right now.  The conference rules both major sports and gets most of the media attention.

Adding a 12th school to the Big T(11)en would be the easy part and I'm guessing it would be Louisville.  The difficult part would be dividing it up into divisions.  It seems like they play for a different trophy every week in that conference.  How do you break up the divisions and still keep the rivalries?  Obviously, Michigan and tOSU would have to be in the same division.  Which means Penn State would have to be in the other division just to balance it out.  So that eliminates the East/West thing.

Big 12 def. needs to improve TV deal to keep Mizzou out of the conversation.  Don't know why there still isn't a Big 12 Network.

And, if you are talking Big 10 expansion, don't bank on Louisville.  Notre Dame is the first choice, but if the Irish continue to pitter away with being an independant I would look for Syracuse (probably the leagues second choice) or Pitt (Penn State is pushing for them).

Missouri would probably be a fifth or sixth choice IMHO.

ND won't go because of the NBC contract.  As a private school they don't get the state funding that public universities get and need that contract.  It's not because they want to "schedule cupcakes" because traditionally, they have one of the toughest schedules in the nation.  The only reason it has seemed weak lately is because the Big 10 has sucked and the Pac 10 has like 3 teams.
