The Nebraska staff picked up two huge pieces to the 2010 recruiting class. The Huskers have been looking for offensive tackle help, and scoring the junior college ranks to some extent, as well as trying to find a physical specimen to replace Phillip Dillard at WILL linebacker. The Huskers secured both today from Fort Scott.
The Nebraska staff has been working hard on the road following the Big 12 Championship game in Dallas. The Huskers are beginning to reap the rewards of that hard work with two commitments today.
In a text message from Coach Jeff Sims, the head coach at Fort Scott (Kans.) College, he confirms the commitment of two of his players to Nebraska. "Jermarcus Hardrick has decommitted from LSU and committed to Nebraska. Lavonte David has committed to Nebraska."
Both of the players from Fort Scott made November official visits to Lincoln. According to Jeff Sims then, the two had the weekend off and wanted to see Nebraska and some friends on the Nebraska and Kansas State teams.
After the national championship game, this past weekend, Coach Sims was going to know his players' four-year school choices.
