NU-KSU: Snyder runs up the score on them, NU fans get all pissed and pretty much look at KSU as their new rival while KSU is good.

NU-MU: Chase Daniel and co. beat up on NU, their fans starting taking "the Nebraska-Missouri bell" thing seriously and start invading their message boards and stuff.

NU-Kansas: Kansas stops the streak in 2005 in dramatic fashion, and scores the most points on Nebraska in history in 2007. Kansas is picked to win the Big 12 North in some circles, Nebraska in others. NU mouthbreathers invade the Jayhawk forums and start trolling like it's nobody's business. Bang, you consider us your rival.

I'm sure you guys will start considering Iowa State your next rival next year if they start getting picked to be close to atop the Big 12 North. Notice the pattern? Anyone that's picked to challenge NU for the B12 North title consistently is considered a new "rival." Well, we don't reciprocate that feeling buddy.
