Did anyone watch Clemente play last year?  I don't see how much has changed; when he misses shots this is what he looks like.

I try to block out the games that weren't against Texas.

please. you're talking about his game as a whole, but at one point he was shoot 11% despite taking 10+ shots.

He ended up playing decent, but when the game was close, he was terrible.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Has everyone forgot about the UT game in the Big 12 tournament last year?  Not a whole lot different than what we saw tonight, probably worse in fact.  Just go look at his games, he had shooting performances like tonights like every 4th or 5th game.  Its how he plays and for whatever reason Frank lets him.  Live with it and move on Cat fans.

I thought he hustled a lot more last year:  harrassing people on defense, driving to the basket out of control, pusing the ball up the court, etc.  He seemed comparatively lackadaisical tonight.

No, I was in attendance for that game.

Bottom line, clemente's play has been noticeably worse this year compared to last.

But yeah, for whatever reason keep "calling out" people who bitch about clementes sh*tty play.

you know, if you look at clemente's stats from last year.  they aren't the stats of a very good player.
"these are no longer “games” in the commonly accepted sense of the term. these are free throw shooting contests leavened by the occasional sprint to the other end of the floor."

no they aren't, but in big 12 play only, he was fantastic.

which i put too much emphasis on sometimes.

Well the problem was about every 3rd or 4th game he had the stats of a great player.  Then a few games with stats of an okay player.  Then a few with stats of a terrible player and you have no idea why he's taking 15 shots or whatever.  And people remember the great ones and he was a big reason we made that run in the Big 12, so he got some accolades for it.

Yeah.  I think last year he was just very streaky.  Either really good or really bad.  The problem is that so far this year we haven't seen the good side of the streak.
