77-72 Cats.  Clems goes off for 25 on various runners and long threes.

61-59 emaw.  First half is offensive-less on both ends of the floor.  Should have won by more, but miss our free throws at the end.

Will be a fast and sloppy game.  Fun for me to watch but probably aggrevating for those of higher bbiq than myself.

Agreed.  But pretty meh to getting overly aggrevated right now, its November basketball.  Unless you have your whole team back, you're going to have struggles.  I don't get why we had so many fans that expected us to be some polished machine right now.  Granted, if Frank was just playing his older players and working the new guys in slowly, I bet right now we'd look better.  But he's throwing the Frosh right in there to be better later, but that's going to cause some growing pains now.  And overall, our defense really isn't terrible, even given our competition.  Of course, we'll really find out the next 2 games.

kelly should look better defensively than he does (aside from the blocks).  and our returning guards still kind of get beat too much on dribble drives.  what's frustrating is seeing the same things pop up every year (granted the reason for this is the "inexperience" of the incoming/returning players in each given year).  if we're still dealing with this next year, then it's a problem, imo.

Probably.  I just think when you have 4 true FR playing an average of 15 MPG and then Kelly who didn't play last year playing 24 MPG, you are going to have some breakdowns.

Plus, I've just accepted the fact that the way we defend the perimeter and take chances, we are just going to get beat sometimes, even with our experienced guards.  The good thing is we have enough length inside that when teams get inside the arc they are only making 28% of their 2-pt shots this year and we block a ton.  Granted, that will go up and we've played subpar competition, but that is still pretty darn good.

Our first decent opponent, and this could get ugly.  Cats can't seem to buy a basket - not even the free ones.  Ole Miss by 16.

Ole Miss seems to have a very sucky bench.  Hopefully we pressure them enough to wear them down, force an up tempo game, etc.  We have a tendency to come out flat and get way behind, if this happens it will be tough to win.  If can keep the game close early on, I think we'll pull away in the end.

If they play zone, we're f*cked

IDK?  McGruder = zone killer?  I think Denis protects his home turf this game.

KSU is actually the better team despite all the chat that we are playing poorly.  This will be a tight game.

They won't play zone will they?  Isn't Andy Kennedy from the same Bob Huggins school of coaching as Frank Martin?  I think they play man almost excusively.

The game is an even line according to Vegas.

If we hope to contend for a bye in the B12, we should be able to handle an SEC team (outside of Tennessee & Kentucky) without much doubt.  I expect an outcome about like last night.  The game should be close throughout the first half and we should figure out a way to put them away in the 2nd half.

Ole Miss is definitely the best team we have faced thus far.  They should make the post-season this year, but the SEC is a struggling conference when it comes to basketball.
