Regarding the 'Spri announcement (which may or may not be imminent)....pssssst you've had hints in the past on how this thing would play out from other media types on this board, best to listen to them, Fitz and crew are now in a pickle.

We're in a strange spot. We were given some information for the basketball preview magazine of Powercat Illustrated that mails and hits newsstands today, but the source we quote in print has asked that we still not post a story on GoPowercat til K-State makes an official announcement, which he and we expected yesterday. (Thus, why he gave us quotes right before we printed the bball preview magazine so the info was included.) We've been sitting on this for five days but there's nothing to be done if someone reads it in PI and posts a thread here. We just won't comment quite yet out of respect to our source.

I, for one, do NOT believe that GPC has a source on the 'Spri recruitment.  If this is true, then they are clearly liars and not worthy to be called journalists.

However, if the "source" is real then what do you want to bet that the source wasn't informed of the "print magazine" option for breaking the news to the world, despite the request not to do this?  LOL, "you never said we couldn't print it and circulate it via the mail, you just said we couldn't 'post it' on GPC."   If the do have a "source," then they are liars and not worthy to be called journalists.

I'd submit that this isn't a "strange spot" at all.  In fact, I'd argue that this is a VERY, VERY familiar spot.

they still have a print version?  someone should post the "information" if they can find the print version.

Someone e-mail that to Art

Art reads this board, and there are readers of this board who speak with Art....regularly.  Rest assured, Art knows or will know shortly.

However, it's not Art that they need to worry about.  It's Frank.  And Frank is NOT going to like this one bit.

i'm not all up to date on the black helicopter portion of things - why would frank care if a rumor gets leaked that Sprilla committed?

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

The reason eludes us, but the fact that he wants it that way does not.

or they held on to the ball and did not report something that they both already knew but were told not to report. meanwhile fitz takes the ball and not only drops it, but throws it up against his source's face. fitz will never learn. never.

Typically I wear stick'em on my hands when I'm playing catch so it's difficult to drop it.

fitz hasn't mailed the mags yet and that's why the 'tards are complaining that they haven't received them.

....hopefully it isn't that drastic.  Mine was a commentary on Fitz's complete and total lack of journalistic integrity, versus the specific "next-moves" of a player.

Let's all hope that Fitz's horrible decisions don't end up hurting the University again.  Sure, Fitz will literally do ANYTHING to sell magazines (i.e. swipe a customer list, fabricate news / lie to a very good friend of the program), but most of the time that just hurts Fitz.  It's unfortunate when it hurts the University.

Lol.  What a complete and utter dumb f*ck.

Love the response to the assertion that he's shamelessly trying to push product (at of course the expense of his meal ticket again).

Not meant as marketing, but it is a strong bball preview issue. And I should remind annual GPC subscribers that they get the lowest possible price on a Powercat Illustrated subscription.

After this finally has been cleared up, I hope Art comes on here and posts the lies that Brian Gates and Tim Fitzgerald told him.

I'll put on the tin foil hat....

Assuming Fitz actually has sources do you think he pays them? With the promise - albeight a Fitz promise - to keep their identity confidential?

Can't think of any other reason why anyone whose actual livelihood is within the athletic department would risk talking to him.

pete,
