Reading this thread, it is no surprise that there are 8,000 unsold tickets to this game.  Don't get me wrong, I'm sure that those of you in this thread who don't like our chances will still be at the game.  You're obviously more interested fans, just be virtue of the fact that you get online to talk about KSU sports.  And I commend you for that.

However, for the other 75% of K-Staters who live in driving distance of BSFS, this "I don't like our chances this week" attitude is a killer.  We don't have 8,000 empty seats because of a poor economy.  We have it because most of our fans still think we suck.  And it pisses me off.

The FACT is that people have been saying "I don't like our chances this week" since summer.  Fans said it about ISU, A&M, CU, ku, and now they're saying it about MU.  Even in the UCLA and OU games we were in great positions to win late in the 4th quarter.  Fans say our offense blows and we have no talent.  Fans say our defense blows and we have no talent.  But week in and week out, we continue to get better and play good, competitive football.  And we're winning.

We are 6-4 and we haven't lost to a North opponent.

Our offensive line has played great.  Gregory is rarely touched.  Thomas is leading the conference in rushing.

Our running game has looked great.  Thomas is a beast.  Probably one of the best backs in Snyder's tenure.

Our QB has played great.  Yes I use the term great.  Doesn't turn the ball over.  Passes sparingly but relatively effectively.  When we need a first down, he always seems to get it.  Under the circumstances, I think his performance has been great.

Our passing game has looked average.  It is what it is.  Rarely used.  Not Snyder's M.O. this season.  rush and control clock.

Our coaching has been great.  We run the ball well.  We win the time of possession battle.  We don't turn the ball over.  We are not penalized  very often.  Very disciplined team.

Our Defense has been good.  Other than Tech, and the first quarter against OU, this Defense has been stout.  ISU 14.  CU 10.  ku 10.  A&M beat down.  Again, well coached.

Long story short.  This team has gotten a lot more crap from our "fans" than they deserve.  I, for one, don't think we are overwhelmingly athletically inferior.  I don't believe we are simply overachieving.  I think we are coached well and playing fundamental football.  Run the ball, don't turn it over, and play good defense.  We've done them all pretty god damn well.  Our fans suck.

KSUfans.com will become the #1 Kstate sports BBS!
SO much negativity going around for this game I am glad to see a positive post about the game, my emaw is on fire and has been since BS came back (though it did take a hit after LaLa but it never extinguished)... 28-17 Cats

"I don't know if I will be able to knock out as many teeth as big Lu, but I hope to pick up on the scoring and rebounding aspects." Wally Judge talking about being a biig of the future for KSU!

but that said, Missouri has the second worst coach in the Big 12, I doubt he has analyzed this to the same depth of 'Hatter, while Snyd's is rolling right now.  KSU is going to roll Mizzou.  MAJOR coaching advantage the next 3 weeks to KSU IMHO.

Let me get this straight.  Mizzou wins back to back Big 12 North titles and has the "second worst coach in the Big 12"?

Please explain.

Not kaiser and I am not going to rank the coaches but I do see where he is coming from, Pinkel is a fantastic recruiter but as a coach? Not real impressed myself. He played in 2 big 12 championships and got blown out in both, kind of a product of a diluted north as opposed to great coaching IMO. Let's see how Pinkie fares in the next couple years. He has the talent.,but can he keep winning?

good lord. and he doesn't have that much talent.

the guy has won 22 games the past 2 years.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.
