As a 99 alum, I am shocked how little attention is paid to Willie doing the pushups and at times even the K-S-U.    Those are some unique things KSU fans should embrace.

Im sorry but people don't really give a sh1t about how you want to believe the student section was the best when you were in it, and will never be that good again.

all these vids being posted remind me how far we have fallen as a fan base.  Its like virgins fracking on prom night and talking each other up afterwords.  I know timing and rhythm are hard for out mostly cracker student section.  I can understand the wabash not being right.  But the complete lack of attention to Willie for point counting is disturbing.  The fact that NO one gets that the K-S-U should be in unison and the wildcats should timed with the fist pump is disgusting.

The worst thing of all, something that has gotten us notoriety in SI for 100 things to do in college: student section crowed surfing.  I know the university has been frowning on it in the last couple of years, but that is no excuse.  Think of it this way.  They can't catch 10-15 people going up per score, sure if you are one, two or three people out of the herd you are easy pickings for security.  

I would like to see students there for mizzou, and stay for the entire game, we are not uk.  We need to keep an eye on Willie for chants, that will always be a great memory for me: 50k chanting in unison.  I want to see the K-S-U/wildcats go on gesture not on your crack ass rhythm. And for god sakes lets send those skanks up to the rafters in hordes.   Keep them coming wave after wave.

(oh and I still have no hope for the chairbacks to get off their asses.)

You must be the greatest k-state fan ever. you are the only one that ever yells and chants perfect every time. I let people know every game that ednksu is the greatest k-state fan and is the smartest also. you seem to know everything about how to EMAW correctly.

Go frack yourself. everyone cheered hard and the game was the best I  have been to in a long time. I was talking to an Athletics department admin today and he has been with the athletic department for 20 years. He said what he witnessed after the game with everyone stay was the coolest thing to happen in very long time. Just enjoy the win you f*ing prick.

dood, if you haven't noticed by now this year's Willie sucks ass at doing the K-S-U chant you haven't been to a game yet.  he holds the U for way too long.  the first wave of KSUers that did the Wildcats at the end of the chant was actually correct (from my 5 years in the student section (01-05)).  someone needs to up their EMAW and be happy that we won and were able to celebrate regardless of how good/how bad it was.

Don't know when this started, but never understood what in the hell this was supposed to do.  Absolutely worthless as far as motivating the team or firing up the crowd.  Jingling keys???  C'mon folks...time to put this stupid display to bed.

Okay... will agree that the key jingle is kinda lame... but, gives us something to do on kickoffs I guess

Also, will affirm that the students and fans in stadium need to keep heads up and the DoD alum need to make sure our current student base understand the rigors of being a game-changing fan, if necessary.

Students need to make sure they're carrying their weight... it's tradition, and don't want to lose it.

However, the old ball game hasn't had quite the intrigue the last few years that it did in the DoD, so I'd say just focus on getting a little bit better every day (I think someone smart said that once...)

And a little perspective:  Student section was  in the early nineties, but holy cow did the success of the DoD result in a seriously-impressive student section.

The drawn out K-S-U is a throwback to the late 80's fwiw, not sure when it was shortened...I liked the "oG" chant that was done back then as well.

i've seen about 8 other student sections over the years in the Big XII..and yesterdays performance by the EMAW student nation was a solid B+. It wasn't '98 Nebraska crazy...but it was loud and angry.

Hey man, I get what you are saying. Believe me; I have been disappointed for years with these students. I was at Fort Riley from 1995-1998 and KSU from 1998-2001; I have seen what you are talking about. I think your EMAW level is where all others should be and I applaud your frustration. I feel EXACTLY the same way. I think the students now just don’t get “it”. They don’t know what our defense looks like when we know we are going to beat a team because we are bad@$$, they know the losing atmosphere that Prince gave them. They don’t know the euphoria of blocking a punt by OU in 2000 and running it in for a TD and having the entire stadium rocking at its foundation. You know this. I know this. These students have no clue what it was like and need to be educated like you have been.

Thanks for blasting them as they deserve it 100%.

Maybe you should organize a reheasal. We'll put you in charge and maybe you could teach 50,000 people to chant completely in sync. Is it just me or is this guy being a little picky...I yelled my fracking a$$ of Saturday and so did everyone else around me including my friend who was itching so bad for a fight that all he could find was a fellow kstater....calm the frack down and just be pleased. IMO if you want 40 people to crowd surf after every score then don't expect them to be fracking paying attention to Willie to actually count the score. Eff man.
