In all seriousness they are idiot fans.  Yesterday as I was leaving the stadium I see two uk fans walking down the street and one of them has what looks like a beer can in his hand.

I yell, "Hey dumbsh*t, you should probably lose the can or you're going to get hit with an open container."

He replied, "Oh its just an energy drink, but thanks."

Now for a minute I felt bad that I gave this kid sh*t and he was so nice but after reading this thread it donned on me... he is such an idiot fan that he doesn't know when somebody's talking sh*t to him.

Looked like a Miller Lite Can.  He was too far away to make it out and I was trying to keep the kid from getting a ticket for open container right after watching his squaks get beat.
