we know it, but i guess it's nice to keep that perception that snyds is just turning a pile of crap into gold. not to say he isn't doing a great job.. (offense is incredibly efficient)

but think about the 2005 offense. Evridge? That 0-Line? Victor mann as our best RB?  :yuck: :yuck: :yuck:
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

I agree there is talent here, Snyder has taken it and gotten the most out of it, which is exactly what he did for many years.

The Snyder is making the most talk is a nice fit for media types (calling KC area radio, tv and newspaper) when looking for a reason not to acknowledge the collapses by um and uk.

No doubt. It doesn't hurt having the best RB in the conference and the best return man who is also a solid receiver who can take it the distance at any time. Bill is the master at taking a bunch of solid/decent talent and then sprinkling in a couple gamebreakers who make you an above average team.

gregory does kind of suck though. he's at 88 yards of passing a game. lol.

Not sure I agree with that, how many big 12 teams would Gregory start for? We have some great players, not many and Snyder has made the most of it. Honestly could any of our LB's start for anyone else either? Not trying to throw anyone under the bus but this team is not overly talented.

The team we beat today had better talent just about every position except RB, DB & OL and yet we still won. Coaching and home field (crowd) was the difference today IMO.

Define suck idiot.  Does it suck that he found a way to pick up a first down at the end of the game through a crowd of people.

Seriously... when we talk tennis feel free to chime in but other than that just STFU and make videos.

I do love Gregory. He is turning into one of my all time favor Wildcat player. Gotta love an over achiever that waited 6 years to play QB then made the most of his chance. Not pretty but he gets it done. This team has taken on Snyder's personality, it has been both fun and amazing to watch it all play out this season.

As much as we all love GG, everyone will be ecstatic if/when we get a real QB in there next year.

I think our lines are strong and we have a couple of talented youngsters throughout. Overall, we're not really that talented compared to other teams.

I think both our lines have more talent (+experience) than theirs.

Wow, I think I can speak for many on this board who just last year would never have thought this post would be made any time soon... but its a very true statement.

ku's talent is garbage.  They (fans) really think they have recruited well but there is a reason that they get players and it is because good schools kind of recruit the guys they get, but lay off them.  ku has no one.  Literally.  They are small, slow and weak.

This team has talent, but I told my amigo, who was at his first game at the Bill since 1994, that this is more of an all-heart team.  They play their guts out.

Don't kid yourself into thinking this team is that talented. Outside of Thomas and Banks and maybe a couple linemen, this team has very average talent across the board,  below average at several spots and very little depth.

I credit most of this run to disciplined, fundamentally sound football and confidence which goes back to the hiring of quality assistant coaches that Snyder did not have his final years. For instance, Bob Elliot became a complete &@#%ing loser. Fundamentals go along way, just look at how well Academy schools full of no stars and two stars compete with and sometimes beat some of the bigger schools with loads more athleticism. You rarely see them get blown out despite such a large talent and size disadvantage but they play with fundamentals and are assignment sound.

It also helps that we are experienced at many spots and Snyder isn't burned out. But compared to DOD talent, not in the same ball park.
Show me defense.

thats a total attention whore statement and its obvious you don't believe that.

btw....you aren't measuring a QB soley based on his passing yards are you? That would be a mistake in our run the ball system.

We will be a great running team in 2010.  Could average 200+ per game.  Return 4 linemen, DT and bring in a black QB of some kind.

I think we do have some decent budding talent on this team, though there are definitely a fair share of "heart" guys.

Thomas, Banks, Fitzgerald, Lamur & Hartman all have very good talent.  I think all of these guys are possible NFL players, though I'm sure Banks's size will hold him back.  I'm talking returning kicks only for him.  I think Wilson could turn into an NFL player too eventually.  After that, guys like Calvin, Guidry, the OL, Mastrud, & Moore, have really stepped up and have been very solid D1 players.

I agree that we have more talent than perceived, but we definitely have some guys who are getting by on lots of EMAW and heart.  Gregory is getting the absolute most out of his abilities.  If he can keep managing the offense and not making killer mistakes, we can play with almost everyone to at least some degree.

wideouts not great either.  banks is good overall player but he's like Aaron Lockett but not as good.  did Snipes even play against ku?

Wilson is the ral deal at fullback.  Time after time he makes perfect blocks springing DT for 5-6 extra yards untouched.
