I don't mean to be a slut, but let's say there was a gun to your head, and the only way you don't get shot by the gun is if you give your preference between these two sections.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

that's tough

429 has a better viewing angle, but end zone probably has a better experience with players entering and exiting and catching extra points and stuff

probably end zone

yeah, 429 is just out there man. the view is very fantastic though. i could give a perfect x's and o's post after the game.

NEZ is adorable though, and the people in that section are top-notch.

NEZ gives you a good view of the monster video board.

I last sat in NEZ in 1982 vs. buffs, they announced our bowl invite late in 4th quarter, fans got on goalpost, officials cleared field, cats score TD, had to go for 2 because posts were leaning.

kinda sums up the dickey(redshirt juniors) experiment.    :billypopcorn:

All depends on what you enjoy about watching a game.  If you enjoy the atmosphere and feeling like you can affect the game by EMAW'n you fuq'n head off, NEZ.  429 if it isn't too damn windy/cold/scalding hot and you really like seeing the x's & o's unfold, you don't like to yell too much.   To me 429 is like watching the game on TV without all of the benefits of zooming in/ overhearing the players scream / and close ups of cheerleaders, etc.

FWIW, My season tickets have been in NEZ since they re-did it.   I kind of miss the whole prince/garage door/smoke deal, but don't really give a sht that OB'z got rid of it when he put a not sucky product on the field.

429, no contest. I sat low in the SEZ from age 1 to 17, and the view sucks hard.

What's great about the NEZ though is there is plenty of room to stretch your legs and when you do have a bad point of view and can't really tell what's going on with the game, there's a huge fuqing video board right in front of you showing all of the action you need to see.   But don't tell everyone, because I really like that the NEZ isn't crowded.

Honestly though, I HATE* the NEZ

*by HATE I mean I love it like no other and hope no one else realizes how fuqing elite it is.

Fun fact: I sat next to Kelly Stewart in the SEZ for like 7 seasons.

We have seats in the upper deck.  I think they are great.  I can watch the blocks and holes develop for Banks to run another kick off back.  Hate having to climb all those stairs to our seats.  My wife hates them because there are no bathrooms up there.  I make the kids hold their pee till half or the game is over.  I tell them that if they want to be EMAW they need to be there for every play. Im sure that will backfire on me someday.

I'll be there too!   I usually sit about 10 rows up just west of the goal post.   I'm super loud and really annoying.   I always try to start the Brandon Banks chant, I always wabash and I never sit down.  My parents & aunt & uncle are coming with me this weekend, so I'm not sure if we'll sit in the same area, but If some dude is running around all EMAW high fiving everyone around him after every touchdown, It's totally me.   And I'll be wearing the shirt they gave to 1999 freshman. The past three games in a row, I've caught a wrist band as the team was leaving the field; although I'm pretty sure the last one was a punters/kickers because they were really small and pussy'ish and not dirty at all.

Anyone's free to look me up and scream "HEY FB! SHUT THE FUQ UP AND SIT DOWN!"  Did I mention that I had a ton of halloween candy before I went to the Y tonight and I'm totally fuqing buzzing from sugar and can't sleep?

FUQ YEAH!  :steadymobbin':

NEZ for me love the space that it affords to stretch the legs.  Also as lsoc said good video board view.  And can catch a field goal and show off your arm strength while throwing the ball back to the guys of the field.  Always thought it would be funny to see someone in the front row get hit in the head when some chick is throwing it back but then thought I shouldn't wish that on fellow EMAW.

I fear this more than getting hit from a kicked ball.

I'm looking to trade two seats in Section 1, Row 11 for two tickets in the NEZ so i can sit with some buddies.  If anybody is interested in that trade, let me know. :steadymobbin':

dude, there's a gate there where you can go from section 1 to NEZ; Just pull the ole switch-a-roo.   Have 1 guy in the NEZ take 2 tickets up the the restrooms behind section 1, and bring one section 1'er back.   They don't scan the bar-codes - just a ticket taker dude checking to make sure you're in the right section.

You can actually enter NEZ where the band comes in; but they let you go up to the west side concession stands.   All you have to do is show your ticket to some dood and he'll open the gate to let you in.   Have your buddy meet you up top and you can each come back down.
