I'd like to see Childs get some carries. I think he runs hard. He and Valentine could make a good 1-2 punch if Daniel can't go.

If by good you mean terrible then I agree

The Valentine haters have made a very rational and persuasive argument. Color me convinced. How embarrassing for me and my LFBIQ.

How can we overcome that suckitude? Throw those 6-10 downs per game he's currently getting carries? Give the rock to Wilson? Put Rodney Kenner in the mix? Personally, I think I would like to see some more quarterback draws.

DT has been playing banged up all year guys, remember prior to this season he hadnt played football in a year and a half, let alone D1. I've been told it has been more sore than normal, but the training/injury staff have been godlike with their healing powers and with a little cortisone shot he'll play sunday.

I don't know, that's why I was asking.  Why would we expect to win any of our remaining games?  Because ISU beat NU 9-7 and CU beat ku?

Let's just discuss the North opponents.  I'm optimistic, but not so much as to see an OU upset.

1.  We beat ISU and CU.  These teams have beaten NU and ku respectively.   This tells me that every team in the North is on an even playing field.  Call me crazy.

2.  We have the best coach in the Big XII North.

3.  We have homefield advantage in both ku and MU games.

4.  We have a better running game than ku, MU, and NU.

5.  We have a better defense than ku and MU.

The 5 foregoing facts lead me to believe that we have better than a 50% chance of beating ku and MU at home.  We play fundamental defense.  And we run the ball well.  We are not a great team, by any stretch of the imagination.  Don't have the athletes to compete with the South.  Fortunately, we play in the North.  And in the North, we do have the athletes to compete.

So, to answer your question, I don't expect to win these games.  I do not, however, expect to lose.  I think we're favored in both the ku and MU home games.

Um, not saying Keithen should start or anything, and I don't think anyone is.

But, for a #2 back, I don't see what is "not good" about an average of 7.5 yards per carry and zero fumbles. It's quite possible that I'm an idiot though, so please feel free to clear that up for me. Until that's clarified, I contend that the dude is a good change of pace and has been making some pretty good cuts.

Agreed. I actually don't think he is that bad. He's certainly not great, but he is better than what people on here think imo.

Name one 2nd string running back that we have had since 1993, under Snyder, that was worse than Valentine.  I can't do it.
