Should Mangino be fired?

His best team ever, and ku's best in years, and they still couldn't win it.

not powertard at all.

if he doesn't win it this year with the way this division absolutely sucks, when will he ever? ku should just cut its losses and move on. 7 out of 8 years, he will finish below .500.

they should move to the Mizz Valley, it's a basketball conference anyway.

ISU fired McCarney for the same reason (not getting it done in the down years), but they've got higher standards than ku.

Mangino's problem is his owed loyalty to Clint Bowen for falling on the "cheating" sword. No way they win the division with that D-coordinator...at least until he has learned/failed on the job for several years. The question will be: Will Mangino sell Clint out to buy himself more time? My guess is that he will...as ethics were never his strength.

Can't exactly facilitate a multi-million dollar master plan for Athletic Facilities when the main source of income for the Athletic Department is failing. However, Chizik didn't make the situation any better.

I would say ISU's facilties are better than ku's. I'm not just saying that because I'm part of CyclONE NATION either.

Magino is "ku's Football Savior."  I believe he would leave for a parallel job before they would fire him.  Plus, they have a lot of money invested in the guy, and I honestly don't believe they would ever be able to find a better coach.  So Lew's options will have to be:

(.500 FB team for years to come with Mangina) VS (Back in to toilet below .500 with other coaches)

Mangina's job is safe until he takes another job or drops on the field from a heart attack.

Toddles, Dez, Jake, Keroids all leave, the D is awful and Illinois is going to open up after this year, just sayin'...

I hope Mangino sticks around in L-town forever. Especially because that keeps ku from hiring patterson.

^^^ THIS RIGHT HERE ^^^

however, i think that GP will still come back to EMAW - just my opinion. As long as 'gina stays in Larrytown, uk will be mediocre at best.

LONG LIVE THE FIGHTING MANGINOS!!!

Lew had Randy Edsall at UCONN.
I don't want to see that dude on uk's sideline.

Those "po indians" just spent $116 million dollars on their football facilities.

Another reason why their current situation isn't sitting well with their fanbase.  Zook walked in and wanted all this stuff, they delivered and outside of one season, he's failed to pay them back with wins.
