Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

Jokes on you because I am planning this thing a full year in advance for next November.  So, right back at you on the picture thing.  Where are you staying?

Just remembered you asking about this November while I was pak'n w/Levi.  KATZ!  IUPUI!  SPRINT CENTER!

Yeah, jokes on you because I may be in wichita that friday or saturday night.   8-)

Sounds like a good situation to do some Friday night pre-game paking and/or Saturday night post-game paking in Wichita with a quick jaunt up/down i-35 for some katz.  :dunno:

Schedule's not set yet but I'll keep you posted.

there's a 25% chance i'll be in wichita too at that time.

went to pv this summer. it's pretty cool. pv is fun for a lot of people because it's not just all brand new 20 story wyndhams with no surrounding culture. it was actually a city before it became a tourist attraction so you have a ton of shops, art, small diner/restaurant type places and not just jimmy buffets margaritaville. from what i've heard, it's also quite a bit cheaper then cabo.

that's what i thought was cool about it too.  + you can drive south a bit and see some really cool stuff (small towns in mexico rule).

I'm not gonna lie, this PV place has got my attention.  Plus, JFC, is this some kind of scam?

I pay $185 a night to stay at the Hampton in Manhattan on gamedays for chirst sake.  This is prolly a touristy/convention type place but it looks elite enough and could serve as a base of operations.  :dunno:

steve dave-

that place was around $130 per night for two people all inclusive when we went this summer. we read some pretty questionable stuff about it on trip advisor though and decided to go to a place called dreams instead. i'm sure it would be fantastic but for just a little more we got a place that seemed a little more of a sure thing. there were even a few all inclusives on the beach for around or even less then $100 but just seemed to cheap to be good.

where'd you get that quote? my advice would be to go to sidestep.com and check puerto vallarta for the same dates and then sort by price and see what all comes up. you might be surprised if you haven't done this. do it.

That wasn't the answer i expected.  I should go to Cabo and not PV?

Puerto Vallarta reminds me of a game show prize from the 80s.  So does Barbados.

it really depends on what you're after- they're two completely different places.  i made the assumption that since you were planning a cabo trip that you were wanting to drink tequila with white people and pretend you're in mexico.  if you really want to check out mexico a little and see the people and the non-developed places, along with some nice touristy places as well, then pv is the definite answer.

there's a lot of towns around pv that are sweet for just checking things out.  it's a cool place, mexico.

yeah. cabo sounds like stuff i would not like from what i've heard. always fun to go where most people don't go, etc. when going on vacation. went to padre a few times in college and did the matamoras thing. we would cross the border and then immediately get cabs and go into town and then really venture out. some of the best times.

For the real Mexico, it's Puerto Vallarta.  Got it.  Now, where should I go to experience the real Caribbean:  Beaches or Sandals?

i think i referenced small towns outside of PV   nothing can be as bad as cabo, imo.
i have no interest in the caribbean, sounds stupid.

if you come to europe, lmkw and we can katpak.

You going to be there Nov/Dec 2010?  Because, I would totally hit you up on that and make you be our tour guide/translator guy.  This would solve some of my "scared because I dont' speak the language" problems.

till mid dec.

Lighten up, fellas.  That sh*t was f*cking funny.  I appreciate the tips.  The only reason I was looking at Cabo was that it seemed like better scenery with those rock formations or whatever that jut out into the ocean.  I kinda got the impression that it sucks, but I don't really trust online reviews too much.

if i knew who you were, i'd prob come and fight you chum1. have fun with your rocks and your van halen cabo wabo restaurants. in the meantime, i'll be hanging out w/ the locals in pv and laughing at you paying 150 a night to stay at the westin cabo and eating 20 dollar hamburgers at their restaurant.

Another Plus about PV, is that it costs 5 dollars for a cab ride anywhere you want to go, at least several years ago the highest rates were 5 bucks.  Or you can spend a day and figure out the old town bus system and get around for like a penny.

I've heard that Cabo is Crazy Windy.
