Point of clarification - Brandon Banks

OK, was it a punt return that Banks almost took to the house?  Only thing that stopped him was a pretty deliberate face mask grab by an A&M defender to prevent the TD.  Two questions:
1.  Was it punt return, or was it a kickoff return?
2.  Should the A&M defender face some sanction for a deliberate foul that could have seriously injured Banks?

Dude did the grab entire head initially, but ended up with the facemask by the end of the tackle.  Very noticeable on the replay.

No, not even close.  It really wasn't all that bad, I think we're just a little overprotective of BB, possibly due to his middle school stature.
