ku has some pretty good young talent at QB.  Reesing is a very good system QB, but he's not irreplaceable.  Deny it all you want... I really don't care at this point.  The K-State fans I've talked to would love to have a QB like Kale Pick running their offense this season.

The ku fans I've talked to insist that kale pick is an outright disaster.

I know you're just trying to be "that guy", but Pick is averaging like 17 yards a carry and would be the perfect option QB for Snyder's offense.

OMG. You're seriously pimping his stats (6 whole rushing attempts!) at mop up duty against powerhouses NCU, UTEP, and Duke?

Not at all.  He can run just fine (though not really tested), it's passing that he is not good at.  We have a QB who can run.

pop quiz:  How many times did KSU run the option last night?

Pick's only a redshirt freshman, and he's got the strongest arm on the team.  Not sure who you've been talking to.

Freeman had a &@#%ing howitzer.

Bottomline, no way in hell ku beats isu with Pick at the helm and with that defense, and losing Briscoe and others, he will need to put up some serious points.

Pick adds a different dimension to ku's offense.  No way to tell how he would have done against someone like Iowa State because ku would have been running the ball a lot more and chewing up clock.

Can you give the answer to that pop quiz?  I don't know the answer.   :dunno:

dude, did you see those throws reesing had yesterday? ku literally has GOD playing @ QB right now. It makes me sick.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

    Hey, basketball!!!
Pick adds a different dimension to ku's offense.

Say what you want but Reesing adds the best dimension that you could have in Mangino's offense. Should've taken advantage of every d-1 team totally whiffing on him and won at least some hardware with him while in Lawrence. Looks like time is slowly ticking for yet another mediocre season for ku football...

There was no doubt in last night's game that if the Buffs left Reesing & Co. any time that he would lead them down the field for the game winning score. And that's exactly what happened but it took a Dezmon drop in the end-zone for you guys to come up short. And how about that drop by Briscoe on the last play? No QB could have put that ball any better. Seriously, if ku had at least a decent defense Todd would be in the top three leaders for the Heisman.

ku has a senior QB who is the best they've had in decades and they're going to have a very hard time going 4-4 in conference play.  Why should anyone be scared of anything with ku going foward?  Bill Young is gone and Todd Ressing is about to be gone.  Mangino is pretty much worthless without them.  Even with Reesing and without Bill Young he seems to be pretty much mediocre.

ku will not lose out . . . and they jettison Texas, OU, and Tech for 2 full years next year.   So unless the Big 12 North really picks it up over that time, Mangino will be able to slip back into a comfort zone of not having tough games on back-to-back-to-back weekends . . . which he simply can't deal with.

Looks like I'm not the only "that guy"

If I were a ku fan I know I'd be doing exactly what Ben is doing by telling myself that it isn't all Reesing and that Pick is just as good.  I'd also know I was blatantly lying to myself.

is it Sparkly or KM and Dezz?  Not only is spark gone, so are KM and Dez (and sharp).

Lastly, has a mangino coached ku EVER layed the wood to a conference team like we did tonight? No.

This post by itself should get him lifetime membership to the premium site!  Well done sir... well done.

*A GREAT RUMBLING OF BASS AND MUCH SHAKING*
ku will beat OU

We won't win unless OU fields a kitten at running back or Mangino brings in my grandmother as defensive coordinator (she could teach our defenders how to tackle better than Bowen)

we'll lose to CU

Eh. Our defense is excellent at making terrible quarterbacks look great. Hansen will prob throw 5 picks this week.

'round and 'round we'll go.

No. The Big 12 offices in Dallas will do what they've always wanted to do for years...tell the North to GTFO and have UT and OU play again for the Big 12 Championship game.

By the way, has anyone noticed that MOTHER&@#%ING IDAHO is 6-1?

That'd be great, except for the fact that logic apparently has very little to do with the B12N this year.

If you take out Reesing, ku is nothing. It's a miracle that he hasn't even been hurt once during the past three seasons.

Reesing's two turnovers were the difference in the game yesterday.  Colorado started two possessions inside the ku five-yard line.  Yeah, the guy makes some great plays as well, but he's not irreplaceable.

Are you serious?  If so, you're either completely effing retarded or in a pillow-muffled, full-sob state of denial, friend.  If he were playing for Michigan or Texas or USC, he would not be irreplaceable.  He's playing for ku, though, and he's pretty fracking amazing.  Almost any other team in the Big 12 would gladly trade their starting QB for Sparkles, and he's certainly single-handedly responsible for a handful of Jayhawker victory celebrations.  I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Reesing is waaaaaay better than anyone else who will play QB at ku within the next 20 years.  It's kind of a shame that the rest of the team (aside from Goldielocks and Briscoe) are kidn of crappy this year.  Will be much worse next year, obviously.

So maybe he should enter some arm wrestling tournaments.  Replacing reesing won't be as easy as you think, replacing Michael Bishop hasn't been done yet for ksu.

Reesing is a once in a decade type qb.  He's not a staple specimen though that want to use to recruit qb's and build a future program around.

They should start KP vs OU, TT and UT...They're going to lose anyway, so might as well throw him in the fire to get some experience.  With their sched next year, he'll never face teams as tough as those three.

Pick would win at least 2 of those games and probably use his rocket like golden arm to score 100 points a game.  There is a reason the whole country is LOL'ing at Reesing and salivating for the day Kale Pick takes his rightful position as the best college QB in the land.  I have heard that Mangino won't start him as a favor to Tebow.

All I've said is that Pick is more of an option QB.  He's got a strong arm and he's fast.  Nothing more, nothing less.
