forgot one:  feeling the weird, new bump/tumor right next to my asshole and wondering if it is ass cancer.  this is a pretty recent interest for me, but very engrossing.

You kinda look like Tony Hawk, kinda.  But, given your tallness, your head could hit critical velocity by the time it falls all the way up there on your neck to the concrete.  So, wear a helmet is what I'm saying.

They're called deer chasers. HOPE THIS HELPS!  :)

I don't street skate.  Too old to learn something "new."  I like bowls, transitions, and parks with great flow.  Not too much of that in KS.  Concretedisciples, com has a pretty good skatepark locator.  Check out Louisville if you want to see an impressive one.

I actually have that knife. I enjoy it. Be careful though, as I think that the tip can get bent kind of easy. Did you buy it from a store or online?

- I like LP's - I like scoring sweet wax at thrift stores more than going to the record store.

- Thrift stores - I've never bought underwear from thrift stores and never seen anyone else buy underwear from thrift stores - but I'm fascinated that they sell underwear at thrift stores and hope to one day witness an actual purchase of thrift store underwear.

- "Missed Connections" on craigslist.

- Searching for my stolen bicycles (theres been 3 in the last 4 years) on craigslist and ebay. I've never found one of them btw.

I've decided I'm not going to fix my xbox 360.
Have been having groups of people over for dinner.  Think I will continue expanding that circle.

Reading: books/magazines/online (should do this more)

Guitar Amps (not for a long time, but can basically could sell these)

Would like to get more in to:

travel deals, cheap stuff, cooking, stocks, mythology and ancient civilizations.

CHINGON EXPECT A DINNER INVITE!

pffffft  LOL

so I got bored and started trying to figure out where to send off my xbox to get fixed and what not, then I was all like "let's try it one more time before I send it off..." AND IT WORKED!

LOL @ reading, having people over for dinner, ancient civs etc.

FIFA 10 FTW!!

I've been starting to read about some "underground" American History.  Like, stuff your high school history books don't tell you because it's not a pretty picture.  For example, did you know Helen Keller grew up to be an adamant socialist and union leader?  I didn't! But I do now, and so do you.

forgot one:  feeling the weird, new bump/tumor right next to my asshole and wondering if it is ass cancer.  this is a pretty recent interest for me, but very engrossing.

ZOMG!  I have the same thing!  Mine is one of those moles that's an "outey" I think.  I haven't tried to get the mirror on it yet.  But I too am totally engrossed in this.  Difficult to shower without contemplating ass cancer.

- weather
- sports in general
- golf architecture
- traveling (exciting to go to a new place and absolutely fall in love with it by the time you leave)
- judging people the first time i meet them and after hanging with them a few times to see if my first impression was the right one of them
- trying new recipes/bbqing (if i could grill once a day i would never eat out again)
- gambling
- finding ways to not pay for things (watching movies that are in theaters online, coupons for free meals, etc)
- mowing the yard/outside work (getting my daily 'me' time is important for my sanity)
- trying to find out what triggered my fear of flying and trying to overcome it (flew a lot in my late teens/early 20's then one day on a flight from PHX to STL i got all freaked out and have only flown twice in the past 3 years)
- photography (just the act of taking a picture and seeing the outcome, not the camera itself)

could go on, but those are the first things that come to mind.

what are some "gems" that you've found?

m-cat - I found two Miles Davis albums in pristine conditions a couple of months ago at a Salvation Army (49Cents!!!!)... which I think is pretty amazing. Also, I've found a couple of Talking Heads albums recently. '70's Stones, Gary Puckett and the Union Gap, Jeff Beck, Laura Nyro...  errrrr, The Carpenters. (The latter should probably be filed under guilty pleasure, but the recording and productions of their records is almost unparalleled.)

I think the reason I like the thrift shopping is because I will commit to a purchase even if I don't know that much about the artist... if the wax is in good condition and the artwork is fair, I'll pay 50 cents or a buck to listen to some new music... and I always listen to it before filing it. Of course I'm not keeping up on cutting edge music by doing this, but I am constantly introducing myself to stuff I've never given a shot before.
