You have done an incredible job taking a collection of mostly horrible players and fielding a somewhat competitive Division 1 defense.

For the remainder of this season I will be extremely grateful to have you.

And then in December when you join Andy Ludwig as the second high profile coordinator to abandon the K-State program as you jump on the first train out of Manhattan, I will be temporarily very sad.

But then I'll remember this is exactly like Snyder's miraculous turnaround of 1989, except for the surrounding himself with awesome coaches part.

Sorry, but I just don't see that this years defense is that much better than last years.

Bill is playing smart by using ball control to protect the defense, but it doesn't mean its any better.

We are going to get destroyed by passing teams this year.  We have been lucky to play two teams that have offenses as bad as ours thus far.

I would wait on that letter until after the UCLA game.

I don't think we can fault VK for the defensive line not getting penetration.  Agree that we need to wait to crown him DOD-worthy until he's faced a real team, but it sounds like the D is fundamentally sound at least.
