Yeah, that does kind of suck, but oh well.  I have a BC ps3 and haven't played any PS2 games on it since I got it.  8-)

I was thinking about getting the original 80GB ps3 so i could play my ps2 games, i still have several that i do still play quite a bit. Plus the 80GB price was dropped to $299 as well. and the 120GB is now $399.

update for B/C should be coming around December, whenever sony stops support for the ps2. Atleast that's the rumor.

I was thinking about getting the original 80GB ps3 so i could play my ps2 games, i still have several that i do still play quite a bit. Plus the 80GB price was dropped to $299 as well. and the 120GB is now $399.
So you want to get a PS3 for PS2 games, that you are still playing?

So why don't you play your PS2 games on that?

I do, but lately is been freezing often and I figured I could save some money by trading it in and getting the PS3.
