I think you should have bought it AFTER figuring out if there was cool crap you could do with it.  Do you own a diamond mine we are not aware of?

Does anybody else think macs are overrated? I mean they are cool and I would take one, but they are extremely over priced and you can basically do the same things on a Dell, HP, etc. I am very satisified with my HP. I also use most of the Microsoft Office programs, and I believe that macs do not come with all of them.

 :comehere:

if you're just a Word-Excel-Powerpoint-Internet-iTunes computer user, there is no real difference between a mac and a pc.  anything beyond that, and it's all personal preference.  since i got my mac, i've personally had less problems with freezing and the mac has some pretty cool apps to streamline your computing experience (AppFresh, Quicksilver, Spaces, etc...)

Basically all you can do is post on forums that you have one.

And get a turtle neck.

And pancreatic cancer.

Good luck man, sounds dangerous being a Mac user.

As for things you can do on your Mac that you couldn't do on your Dell: Nothing.  Absolutely nothing.

I'm going against what everyone else is saying to tell you that you made a smart choice. Plus, you ARE able to run Microsoft Office on a mac. Just buy/pirate Parallels which will allow you to run Windows and Mac at the same time if you want to do that.

You made a smart choice, I just won't tell you why and give a laughable example of having to use virtualization to run basic software.

I'm pretty sure I have the exact same hp as you, if not, they are very similar. Is your fan on almost all of the time?

Yep, the $399 HP Laptop from Best Buy, they sold 10 of them while I was there.   Very happy so far, first PC with Vista though, and Vista sucks IMO, but the performance the Laptop itself is fine.

BTW .  .  . the Samsung LED TV's . . .

Just not in the budget right now . . .  :-[

Got that same deal. Vista is ghey too, but hopefully Windows 7 is  when I get the free upgrade in October.

My fan is not even noticeable. Don't even know what it sounds like  That sucks PPat  :-[
