Football atmosphere is lame in Lawrence. Always has been. ...even now that they are little bit decent is still seems like a basketball pep rally.

Kstater's...who travel like crazy and have been to lots of other teams stadiums are pretty much in consensus that Memorial in Lawrence is a complete hole to have to watch a game. ...and that was back when Kstate was naming the score before the coin flip.

Stillwater is blast. I suggest it 100%.
College Station too.

Columbia was average. Fans are pretty red assed about Kstate but their bar district makes the trip worthwhile. Harpo's was pretty sweet.

Lincoln is okay. There stadium is impressive. Their fans are loyal but are at least knowledgable unlike ku fans.

Ames has no charm but isn't that bad of a drive. Usually cold and windy.

I used to like Mass St., but the last few years I've gone, it has:
1.  Smelled like urine, no matter where you were, and
2.  Is there a sewage problem there?  It smelled like sewage.

They have better restaurants (Free State rocks!), but how can you enjoy them when it smells like raw sewage EVERYWHERE.  Maybe it's the kind of thing that if you live there, you get used to it.  Add that to being inbred and parochial in Lawrence, you don't even understand that there are places that are better.
