Hey Computer Smarties
I need a free(nontrial version) program for ripping and re encoding movies mainly from mp4 to avi (and hopefully the quality level doesn't drop off significantly). Tried quite a few programs but none seem to do the job or will have the watermark over the film.

Anybody able to help on this one?  :hope:

Handbrake may be the easiest. Best quality goes to a DVD Decryptor and Auto GK combo.

1)dvd decryptor
2)vobedit (to convert vob files to video/audio)
3)tmpgenc to remux the video/audio file)

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.
