There's a new sheriff in town.
Is there a cheap way to convert old VHS tapes to DVD or just get them onto my computer?
OR
Is there a way to play the VHS tape and have it "record" to my TiVo?

Use a VCR and a DVD recorder.  Then rip the DVD onto your computer.

    The very best.
you need something to convert the signal to digital. i don't think a dvd recorder does that.

something like this

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

1. Get a capture card (I have a dazzle dvc 100, pretty cheap)
2. VCR better have output jacks
3. Get composite cables
4.Hook everything together
5. Record on your computer
6. Then burn it onto a blank dvd
