I love listening to all the "realistic" people who are arm chair quarterbacks who haven't played a lick of division 1 football let alone high school.  You can be realistic and also be positive about the team you support.  I would like to think we have better talent than we did in 2005 and we went 5-7, so is a 6-6 or 7-5 season out of reach probably not.  I am not saying we are going back to the 9-3's or 10-2's, but how about maybe being respectable again on the field.  Some of you remind me of the crew on the movie "Major League" who hang out in right field bad mouthing the team until some signs of winning show up.  Most of us don't have any idea what goes into a successful division 1 program, we would like to think we would but we don't.

great points abound. only people who have played d1 fball and know what goes into a successful d1 program will be allowed to post from this point forward. can't believe it took this long for someone to figure this out. great call here friend.

don't tell snyder you have to have played d1 fball

or bear bryant, or basically any other big name coach.

This is correct.  Probably the people who are picking us to do to bad are losers who quit football after 7th grade because they got run over by a 5' 2" 250 lb fullback and blacked out for a couple seconds only to wake up and realize that the surprisingly fast fat kid that just ran over them had stepped on their hand rendering it completely useless and extremely painful.  Let's not forget that that kid probably led the team in touchdown receptions (3) in a very short season (4 games).

What is hilarious is the amount of people on here that aren't even aware of my domination on the college "gridirion" (< football term)

Few Days ago I had a BBQ at my house with an assortment of gay men hangin out and I do mean OUT. While I was grillin the brauts I fired up a conversation with a guy who is one the Football team. Just the usual how are summer workouts, do you like the way these panties fit me, can I play the rusty trombone for you, what's it like to have Snyder back? He said they are hardly working and the spirit of the team is high, since "spirit" is a term used in football. He thinks we should be going to a gay bar this year (which I completely agree with). Then we started talking about some good stuff, like old boyfreinds and what we will be wearing tomorrow, nothing new to anyone just pretty cool to see a player get excited about his fellow teammates, which I could see, believe me, he was VERY excited!

I asked him what the QB situation is like with so many guys competing for the starting spot, and how I wish I was the center so I could have them putting their hands on my rump this year. He said its a tricky situation because Snyder clearly wants to run an offense with a Dual Threat QB, but his best QB as of now is the guy that cleans the used water cups from the sidelines after practice. He thinks that Coffman will start the first few games and then Gregory will take over the rest of the season. Gregory just needs time to learn the offense and get some chemistry with team. The part that makes this really weird is the fact that Coffman is voted captain his teammates, and I know, this is really NOT weird, but I just thought I would throw this in to make it look good. So he said anything could happen at the QB spot. Then we talked about Gregory and what he likes, like men with bald heads, men with 6 pack abs and a ass that you could lick. I guess the guy is just an animal. Build like a Linebacker but can run pretty well. Overall he seemed pretty excited about Gregory, because I could again see the "excitement" in his pants, and what he can do with the team once he learns the offense. He did mention that it apparent Gregory is older and more mature, not like all those other guys, He is sweet and listens to his stories and actually acts like he cares about his feelings. The first thing that jumps out about him is his frame, he is flat out HUGE,, and ummmmmmm yes, I mean HUGE(wink wink, hahaha, I am baaaad, ewwww) second would be his maturity and how he acts. Both of those things I like in a man!!

The other topic we touched on that I enjoyed talking to him with was Daniel Thomas, since I think he is also the hottest man alive!! He pretty much echoed what everyone has been saying about this guy on the boards. He can run you over no matter who is trying to tackle him. His legs are like tree trunks but is still able to cut on a dime to make you miss. Again like everyone said he is working with the RB and doing an amazing job so far. Thomas could come in like Banks did last year and shock the BIG XII.

So nothing too exciting or really new, but I figured I would share what I heard. Honestly its just nice to talk to people face to face about the team. hearing an insiders take on what's going on, compared to the boards.

Again, I fixed your post. your welcome.

Please highlight your changes for us slow readers.  kthxbai

Just looking forward to seeing Coach Snyder back on the sidelines again restoring a sense of stability in the program.  I have seen alot of good and bad of ksu football over the years.  Got to experience Snyder's first win at ksu all the way to the Big 12 championship.  Can't really see the point in bashing the university I graduated from and have so much pride in.  Excluding the huskers that hang out over here.  Apparently Pelini must be out of town because they would be in front of his house waiting for appearances of him or the local bar depending upon whether Bo needs an ego boost.  I wonder if he wears that cool hat of his everywhere he goes.  Definitely looking forward to Coach Snyder owning him again.    :kstatriot:

You are right.  Snyders return is a return to a major program successful D1 program minus the insanity. His record says it all. I also appreciate the thread. Team spirit is truly crital to a KSU return to greatness. I take one small exception to the post. "Most of us don't have any idea what goes into a successful division 1 program." True. But we Damn sure can see the signs/characteristic of successful D1 programs and tell when those signs/characteristics are missing. :kstatriot:

Meh. I like the details. To me, it's no different than saying "Polish player" or "tall player" or  "slow player" or "quarterback/kicker-type player". Just another adjective. Don't be such a racial coward.
“My arm gets tired from doing this,” said coach Bill Snyder, waving his arm.

To all the pessimists ... there is a team right down the road that is doing well according to its fans, and maybe you want to go jump on the fat man's shorts for awhile.

You know why I'm excited?

1.  We can expect to see more disciplined ball.

2.  We can expect to see better defensive schemes.

3.  We can expect to see a coach on the sidelines who knows what he is doing.

4.  We can finally see what these players are made of by evaluating their performance under the best possible conditions for the program (that is, with the best possible coaching and conditioning).

I'm not saying world beaters.  I'm not saying B12 Championship.  I'm not even saying bowl game.

But despite what some of you say about Coach, he is still the best thing to ever happen to Kansas State football, and if he can't at least get these boys playing to their best potential, no one can.

You all cry about talent.  What the heck is talent anyway?  There is pure natural talent, and then there is the talent you develop with hard work and focus.  I think that if you're a player willing to gut it out under Snyder's system, you will acquiesce to hard work and focus.  Snyder gets the best out of his players, period.

That alone should excite the hell out of you after three years of R. Hussein Prince crapping all over things.  I just want to see these boys play with real coaching and real conditioning, not the half-assed junior high ball I saw last year.

PS:  I'm not saying we beat ku, but if Snyder doesn't have those boys utterly ashamed of themselves and fired up for redemption in front of their home crowd come November, then he definitely is too old.  The Squawk game is the one game I want to see if for no other reason than to see how these boys respond to Snyds against a hated rival that humiliated them a year ago.

That is all.

This just in: OB played at Mizzou for one year (semester?) before going to William Jewell.
I'd much rather have a 69 year old coach than one that weighs 400+ pounds.
