    Knows What Brent Did...

I considered LSU and USC and UF, but uofk had those recliners in the endzone. I thought they were hilariously retarded at first, but then they got a cyber gold medal from some site I'd never heard of, and that CHANGED EVERYTHING. Plus I raped my 12 year old cousin AND my dad needed a job, so you don't have to be a math genius to solve that problem.

wut?
“My arm gets tired from doing this,” said coach Bill Snyder, waving his arm.

Showing they'll give an award for anything . . . ku just won one by parking a doublewide in the endzone and putting in some polyvinyl loungers and a keg.

You stay classy ku.

You serious?

Seats were sold on both a single-game and season basis and sold out for the 2008 season.  Season tickets cost $2,500 for recliners and $1,500 for SportsStools, while individual game tickets ranged from $200-$450 per game.

Stools? At least you could have given bleachers or even plastic chair backs.

That's the worst place for that.  The closer you sit at a football game, the less you can actually see the game and appreciate it.  Now if they did this in the press box area....
I'd much rather have a 69 year old coach than one that weighs 400+ pounds.

Meanwhile, they're giving away tickets &/or having "BOGO" offers for every game and truly not selling out any of them...

Cost benefit? $178.43 to erect. Thousands in return for dupes to sit in it.

Pretty sound business plan. Barnum would be proud.

 :jerkoff:

oohhhhhhh, how elite and fancy LEATHER recliners and *gasp* an actual HD tv.

Come in from the rain, every poor slob in the country has both those.  They just don't paint them awful colors and stack them on aluminum bleachers on a track.

Only a hyper obsessive little guy with low self esteem would actually attempt to claim that "club" that ku puts in its endzone is "high class".

But, that's our Bentard.

You have a really tough time with reading comprehension.  All I said was that HD TV's and leather recliners weren't exactly "white trash."  Would it be possible for you to overcome the PMS just one day out of the month?

Kansas Athletics Wins Gold Medal For Revenue-Generating Idea

June 24, 2009

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas Athletics won the gold medal for Best New Revenue-Generating Idea in 2008-09 at the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators’ annual convention last week.

Kansas won for its Touchdown Club seating at Kivisto Field at Memorial Stadium.  To capitalize on a previously unused open space in the south end zone, Kansas Athletics created an exclusive luxury seating and hospitality club at home football games.

The Club offers fans an experience unlike any other in college or pro football. Members receive amenities such as a private upscale buffet, wait staff service and private restrooms.  The area includes 84 luxury Jayhawk recliners and 33 flat-screen LCD televisions.  It also includes 28 “SportStools” that provided fans a less-expensive option.

Seats were sold on both a single-game and season basis and sold out for the 2008 season.  Season tickets cost $2,500 for recliners and $1,500 for SportsStools, while individual game tickets ranged from $200-$450 per game.

The Touchdown Club is already sold out for the 2009 season.
