Looks like the way to win is to kick it towards the goal and run down and kick it past the goalie.  Works a lot better than heading it to nowhere or passing it backwards or kicking it randomly out of bounds.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

So, I assume we kicked their asses.  Turned it off to go razz some brazillians that were hanging out at the park by my house.  They said they were actually from Puerto Rico but I was all, "same diff!" and proceeded with the wedgie train while chanting USA, USA, USA right in their faces.

I have to admit that I watched that game and enjoyed it. I don't think I'll ever become a hardcore soccer fan but I'm kinda looking forward to the World Cup.

During the game the announcers referred to that as "atmosphere".  GMAFB

Altidore is apparently going out on loan from Villareal to the Greek champions, Olympiakos.  should get some PT there for the side who has won the Greek league 12 out of 13 years.

he should also get some Champions League experience.   they are entering the competition in 3rd round qualifying and will have to win 2 home/away series starting the last week of July to advance to the group stage of CL 09-10.  it's a long shot he'd get there quick enough at this point to participate in the qualifying rounds of CL 09-10.

Match vs. Mexico scheduled for 3 p.m., might be a little toasty    :flamethrower:

another result of the impressive US Confed Cup run: defensive midfielder, Ricardo Clark, has signed a deal to transfer to Serie A club, Livorno, in January.  he'll finish the MLS season for the Houston Dynamo then move to Italy.

fyi, my Jozy to Olympiakos post looks like complete BS.  he is still doing preseason training w La Liga's Villareal.  which is good I guess.  a loan to Olympiakos might have guaranteed some playing time.  but it might be that he could win some playing time with Villareal which could happen especially if they end up selling Giuseppe Rossi

JozyAltidore17 First match is against chelsea subject to a work permit *wink* *wink* lol thanks for the support and love keep it coming.
about 1 hour ago from TwitterBerry

looks like Jozy is moving to Hull City in the English Premier League.  that team sucks but he'll be playing against the best players the world has to offer outside of the Spanish league.  and considering they suck so bad he should be getting to see the field a lot.  the atmosphere he'll be playing in throughout the league is unrivaled.

1-1 @ the half.

Charlie Davies gave the USA the lead in the 9th minute.

Mexico leveled 10 minutes later.

2nd half to come.
