I'll take Dumb and Dumber or Tommy Boy anyday....

Love Tommy Boy. The deer-in-the-car scene is pure gold.

Monty Python has put out a couple thousand movies and skits. A couple are bound to be good. And that's about it.

Holy Grail is/was their first movie, and no, they've only put out 5 movies if I am remembering correctly.  Their half hour series Monty Python Flying Circus lasted four seasons and 45 episodes, was and still is some of the funniest stuff ever.  They simply changed the face of comedy, and most of the comedy you young fools like such as Dumb and Dumber comes directly from their influence.

The original group of  Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones, and Michael Palin is still one of if not the most prolific grouping in humor history, only the cast of SNL's first two years or so could come close.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

"Holy Grail" is classic.  It's definately one of my top five.

"Clerks", however, is probably my favorite:

Quote
Blue Collar Man: Excuse me, I don't mean to interrupt, but, uh, what are you talking about?
Randal Graves: The ending of "Return of the Jedi".
Dante Hicks: My friend here's trying to convince me that any independent contractors who were working on the uncompleted Death Star were innocent victims when it was destroyed by the Rebels.

P.S.  Wet Hot American Summer: Greatest comedy movie ever.

P.P.S.  Arrested Development is the greatest comedy series ever.

Everybody is entitled to their opinion, but I question your movie pick as "greatest comedy movie ever."  I'm a pretty movie-savvy person, and I've never heard of it.

Seinfeld is far better than Arrested Development, also.  I would put Married with Children up there, too.  Quality.

WHAS has Michael Showalter in it. He and Michael Ian Black and David Wain are in Stella - the short lived show on Comedy Central and Dlew12's favorite TV show evar.

I'll go with Scrubs on the greatest comedy/drama series for me. Even though i do agree Seinfeld is classic.
