Best solo activity when traveling is hitting the hotel bar.  For those of you who travel a lot you know why.

I use to travel every week for work.  I'd go out solo for dinner, but I always sat at the bar to eat.  Tons of people do the same.  Get a bite to eat and watch whatever is on ESPN.

Traveling solo gets kinda boring.  I mean it's not bad, but it's more fun if you meet up with somebody.  Try the erotic services section of craigslist before you go.

Eating, movies, drinking solo=fun, no annoying people to negotiate with about when, where, how, etc.

Took a solo vacation out to Colorado when I lived in Hays.  It was absolutely great.  Just getting out into the mountains and doing whatever the hell I wanted to.  Always have had family, friends or woman on other trips.  Was able to get up early and hike for however long I wanted, travel where I wanted, went whitewater rafting just for myself.  Ahhh, those few blissful single years with money gone like the wind.

update:  didn't get much solo time.  kind of sucked.  also had to work late a lot, which also sucked.  almost went by trims place on my wedding anniversary but was too tired.

kinda messed up but the tradeoff is that i don't have to do anything/go to classes if i don't want. could really check in and then never show up again. kinda makes up for the lame place i guess.

picked a city earlier this year just so i could hang out w/ some emaw friends. only went to thing/conference to pick up passes for us to get into private parties that were being hosted at night. free food and drinks and joan jett & blackhearts at one of them. lmao @ joan jett.
