Big 12 to keep three-way football tiebreaker
http://www.kansascity.com/385/story/1183848.html
The lesson of the story, don't end up in three-way tie.
Big 12 football coaches rejected a proposal to change the tiebreaker rule that gave Oklahoma the edge over Texas and Texas Tech in last year's South Division race.
I guess I shouldn't be surprised that someone in college football couldn't get something like this right

The conference has been around for what, 11 years? The controversy has happened once. Not worth changing.

The only reason it gets any play is because it involved Texas and OU, had it been Tech, A&M, and Okie State nobody would still be talking about it. Im surprised they didnt vote to just let OU and Texas play in the CCG every year.

Re: Big 12 to keep three-way football tiebreaker
This rule makes a lot of sense. Let the highest ranked BCS team go to the championship game. That way if they win, they have the best shot at getting into the national championship game. If we let the #7 ranked BCS team in instead of the #2 or #3 team, then the Big XII is less likely to get a team into the national championship. Makes sense to me...better to have the team with the best shot at a national championship playing for our conference championship.
