Alvarez said it was Amare Stoudemire’s camp, but the Phoenix Sun’s camp is for big men. Utah’s Deron Williams runs the camp for point guards.

Whatever.

Brian Gates also talked to Art earlier today and will have a story up later.

You should NOT, in any way, assume that Brian merely learned of this by reading J-Mart's blog and then called Art about it.

Alvarez's talent evals

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

Or he'll just use J-Mart's story and make it his.

Ya know, like spark notes?

It's freaking ridiculous how plugged in to the K-State basketball program GPC is.

I spoke with Art earlier today too, and we'll have some on Asprilla later on today, too.

I was actually hoping for the GPC patented "Yeah, we knew about that weeks ago but were sitting on it" move.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

I was actually hoping for the GPC patented "Yeah, we knew about that weeks ago but were sitting on it" move.

Firtz's company lines just get more and more confusing by the day.

Can we get a story (on Buchi)?

There has been no release sent out by e-mail to media from Sports Information regarding Buchi.

So does that mean there is no story?

I didn't say that. I just said that there was no release sent out by Sports Info. And as far as contacting current players on the team to ask them about their status as it stands to returning or leaving, that is not something the GPC staff is doing.

(Post removed about "It's Patterson)

Fritch contacted Anderson previously to see about his status for the upcoming year.
Is the "not contacting current players on the team to ask them about their status as it stands to returning or leaving" a new GPC policy? Or just something you're not doing at this time?

Go Man Go, I did not call Ron. Furthermore, I do not wish to, nor will I, call every player on the football or basketball team to seek their status with the program. Let's move on.

asprilla seems ok.  i'd rather see a year of awaji and then a top-100 2010.  this transfer crap is lazy recruiting.

remain pessimistic about this staff’s ability to close the deal on such elite kids. by the way, assistant coach matt figger and head coach frank martin are heading up the effort.

if you had a billion dollars would you, among other things, have a solid gold toilet that only you could use?  I would.

I think like a sterling silver toilet would be more impressive to look at.  Or one made out of the stuff Destro's mask was.

But if you have no one to fill your scholarship, and someone just falls into your lap...  I'd rather it be an ACC guard with 2 year experience, at top 30 player with two years experience in the Big East, or the Freshman of the year in the Sun Belt league averaging 14 points and 9.3 rebounds at Florida International.

I have not double checked any stats but they claim this guy averaged 17 and 11 in league games.  Anybody that does that in any d-1 league is worth a ship.  We started Darrent Kent and Louis Colon in the post this year so how are we going to pretend we're too good for this guy?

We all wondered why Frank has been so good to Louis and leaves him a starter.   Now we're starting to understand he has to take care of Art's boys in order for him to keep feeding us guys.

Be careful what you wish for.  That silver would have to be polished all the damn time.  Now, a toilet made from the destro helmet material would be sweet.  Even sweeter if it was shaped like destro's helmet.

I mean, the order of things in EMAW land has become:

1.  Some elite ksufans.com'mer comes up with an idea about Asprilla or whatever and we discuss it for a week.
2.  Jeff sees said HBBIQ discussion (insert HFBIQ or HGeneralIQ where applicable) and does the proffesional journalist thing getting to the bottom of it.
3.  Brian Gates, with a sore arm from hitting refresh on Jeff's blog every 30 seconds for the last month, sees Jeff's update and springs into action calling the same guy Jeff talked to and writes the same piece.
4.  ksufan.com'mers move onto the next elite topic to start the circle of EMAW life over again (Like a regular circle of life but instead of the Lion being the last link it's the first because I'm not going to be grass or sunshine or whatever you start a normal circle of life with).
