ya it's pretty arid.  wouldn't really call it desert but it's certainly very dry and wouldn't think you could do much with it- lots of uneven terrain and really thick brush.  saw a plantain farm about 30 minutes north but it had installed irrigation equipment, that's the only green I saw around there.

Did you drive from PV?

everywhere in mx is dry this time of year.  the rainy season starts in june.  transformation is amazing.

My uncle used to own a resort at Ambergris Caye, Belize. It's a little island, and the official language is English.  It's Tiger Woods' favorite vacation spot. There's a movie theatre at the town San Pedro that's on the top floor of a building. They charge a dollar and play movies that they download on the internet.

don't know yet. just booked flights yesterday. lots of options though apparently. only going for five days 

any suggestions? thinking about a couple of days at an all inclusive and then a couple of days at place either downtown or by the marina. have you been to the marina area? is it good enough to give an idea of the area or do we need to go into town?

clearwater beach is very nice in my opinion, if that's where you're thinking about going to. st johns pass, st pete, etc. lots of stuff to see/do.

I was downtown both times. Doesn't really matter where though. Taxis are cheap and have flat rates. There's also a bus that is like pennies to ride. I would also shy away from all inclusive. The town is great food is great etc

colorado 

colorado is nice, especially southwest colorado. lived in the springs for a year. got to travel all over the state. no beach though and the native coloradoans are all pretty much losers.

will prob do somewhere in mexico i guess. if i die from the swine thing, please award all my account points, money due, awards, etc. to limestone outcropping. thanks.

I know hitting all those places in one trip is a noob way to go, but what the Frank, I am a noob (and who knows if I can make it back when I get old and fat).
