    The very best.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

    I'm with Coco.
I was still confused as to how Meier ever managed to overthrow a receiver with his noodle.

If you guys had just lost to Northwest Central Montana Prairie State A&M or whomever the hell they were, we would be working on our fifth straight bowl game.

Damn that crafty Ron Prince!!!!   :'(

ku hurt our SOS tremendously in 2002. They were easily THE BIGGEST collection of BCS FP's in the history of the conference. Make Prince's teams look like the Bears.

Probably kept us out of a BCS bowl.

Quote from: Dylan
Obviously I think we have some things to work on. We came into the game doing two things, expect to win and expect to play well. I can’t say we played well, but we got the win and that’s what’s most important.

Quote from: Ron
Obviously, our goals going into the week were to play well and win. I don’t think we did the first. I didn’t think we played well. We did win. It’s hard to win and we will never begrudge a win. They are hard to get. I think our team will have a healthy respect for how hard it is to win. We had a good contest here tonight as we predicted. No. 81 (Laurent Robinson) was obviously a factor in the game as we pointed out early in the week. This is a very good running game, just as they have shown in years past. If you give them one-on-ones on the outside, No. 81 is capable of exploiting that. This game is no different then how it turned out at Iowa State last year. Really, it was a carbon copy. I think that is a testament to Denver Johnson and how he coaches his team. I think he’s a terrific coach. I said that earlier in the week. They have a terrific program. Maybe we’re not that familiar with (Division) 1-AA here, but I am as someone whose played it and coached it for so many years. There are a lot of these games that end up going the other way. When you have an established program that’s been together for a while, I think it shows that the players are seasoned, rugged and tough, and I anticipate that they will go quite a long ways this season. As far as our circumstances, we obviously could not protect the quarterback well enough to move the ball. We didn’t have the kind of consistency in the running game to give us a chance to really put anything together any kind of drives at all. Ian Campbell was terrific. I thought defensively it would be hard to say that he wasn’t the player of the game. We will have to go back to the tapes to confirm that. One of the things you have to be able to do in the fourth quarter is that you have to have a great running game on offense and you have to have a pass rush on defense.

Quote from: RP
No, I wasn’t surprised at all. There’s a school of thought, especially in the National Football League about two-point plays not being high-percentage plays. But if you’re on the road and you’ve got the team right where you want them, I agree with his decision. I think he had us on our heals. As far as doing it again, I think he would do that again.
